  1. Re:Why don't they do the obvious? on Requiem For The Record Store · · Score: 3, Insightful

The fact is, record stores are going out of business because, they are TOO STUPID to adapt to even simple changes in the business environment.

Just like the recording industry that these stores buy their music from, right? The RIAA has a very conservative view, and it's understandable. They've made billions over the past few years because people paid inflated prices for music. They're still not fully aware that the future rests in iTunes, and not in the Sam Goody in the mall.

  7. Tad OT... on Kazaa Offices Raided · · Score: 2, Insightful

    I sense a pattern...

The United States, which started as property of the British Empire, has begun to revoke its citizen's rights.

Austrailia, which ALSO started off as a branch of the British Empire, has started raiding the home, read: Private Dwellings, of people that work at a place that happens to traffic copyrighted material. They weren't even searched by law enforcement officers.

Does this mean that India is going to make it mandatory to consume beef, or something? Are the citizens of Ireland going to lose their rights, next? What about you silly Brits, are you next?

  23. Re:what? on Footage From Star Wars: Episode III · · Score: 0

The books arn't exactly viable sources for the films. According to the books the Empire is solely responsible for the creation of the Death Star, not some trigger happy, got his ass kicked by Yoda, Sith wanna-be. The books, while entertaining, have no impact on the films at all, unless the book is written by Lucas (such as the original Star Wars).

  24. Re:what? on Footage From Star Wars: Episode III · · Score: 0

A few of those were answered in the first (or second if you look at continuity) trilogy, and even in Ep. 2.

How does Palpatine gain total control?

Palpatine was given control in Episode 2, to create an army large enough to fight Dukoo(sp?).

In the original trilogy Obi-Wan said that the twins were separated from birth, without their father's knowledge. It can be inferred that Anakin is busy fighting droids and Sith, the very reason why Jedi arn't supposed to get attached anyway, so he probably got Amidala knocked up, then was sent off to war, and didn't see her again for another ten months or so, and by the time he came back, she could be dead, or he could come back as Vader and Amidala might sense the evil, and not tell him about the children.

As for the Jedi being exterminated, it's not too hard to figure that one out either. Vader probably goes around and just slays all of them, or maybe has a nice lightsaber battle, then kills them. After all, he IS the "chosen one", so you must "see that".
