Maybe I should have read the whole article, or some of the comments here, but one thing that caught my eye was the controller and affordable price. It's good to see a company realizing that uber l337 super graphics dont make a good game (not that they hurt), but that innovative ideas, fun, and something people can actually afford lead to fun. (Sorry, but 800$ for the PS3??!! Or something like that, right? To much for me to afford, I have a life to pay for, outside of my play station (What do they say: live in your world, play in ours?))

Anyways, Sony should take a page from nintendo's book. And hopefully nintendo already figured out the region free / no-drm-crap stuff from sony.

This sounds good, as of lately my maxtor one touch HDD has been getting more and more corrupt sectors, and I am sick of running chkdsk overnight on it. I figure it's going to die on me soon and I don't look forward to getting another HDD.

Anyways, back on topic, at $0.15 a gig, it would take a long time before buying a hdd would be more affordable for me. (my hdd is 250g, I use about 100g, 100g = 15$, so after 10 months thats 150$... Still cheaper than this HDD that I didn't even get a year ago, on sale, for 200$)

The only downside is that you need enough RAM to run both operating systems simultaneously in a comfortable fashion, but 2GB of RAM is under $200 these days.

I just double checked the prices. The higher end MacBook pro, and the two intel iMac's all need 300$ to get a 2gig memory upgrade. The lower end mac book is 500$ to upgrade to 2 gigs of memory.

But I guess there is a bright side... Only 83$ a month for the higher end macbook with 2 gigs of ram, the better processor, and the 100g, 7200 rpm sata drive. (and the warentee)

Cancel their membership and remind him of what an ass he is (And I know that ppl will say that this would be bad, but this dude took lots of time, pissed off both the cashier and I, and was overly unpleasent. Him, his family and his friends wont detract largely from the 100k we generate in an hour)

    B) Take pictures of the employee/customer from answer A of you strangling them with a computer cord, then let the staff add funny captions or comments to them. Or, if you work at costco like me, smash their eggs/bread, and make sure their chicken gets grease all over the new cloths they bought (after the transaction is complete, of course), then have their membership cancelled.

    Customer Service blows

If I drive all the way to New York (I live in CA), and buy something, they aren't charge me my sales tax rate at home, regardless of the fact that I could turn around and drive it right back. Thus is makes no sense for online businesses to have to do that.

PLUS, Don't physical businesses at least get some benifit from Sales Tax they collect (some might go to road contruction / repair, etc)? What would an online business get? Shouldn't sales tax we collect go to improve the local internet lines for people (our "roads" to our business, if you will), perhaps faster connections, less downtime, and so on.

Oh, but wait. I guess that's our ISP's job, not the governments.

Either way, if you ask me, they are out of line collecting sales tax, and it's only made worse by how they want to do it. If their going to do it, it needs to be re-figured-out so A) We're collecting for where we are based and B) The money goes, at least in part, to benifit us (see the roads example above).
