Don't worry, I live in California(South Orange County) and you views are no different than most of the people I bump into in the grocery store. I think the gripe is that Gov.Schwartzeneggar doesn't have a busty intern with no gag reflex. Or worse yet, his Dell laptop has Windows ME loaded on it.
All joking aside. I agree, I am not sure why OSS hasn't taken off like a shot, considering that Open Office has 100%, of the 10% of the features that actually get used in Microsoft Office. Maybe it actually should be the hardware manufacturers dragged into this. I haven't seen Mandrake or other consumer friendly distro as an OS choice for Dell or most common computer retailers, just "no OS".
This is the type of stuff I tried to avoid almost 7 years ago, when I bought my domain. I figured between Bill Miller's Bar-B-Que in Texas and Bill Miller, the Native American Folk singer, someone would sue my ass to get the domain name billmiller.com from me. The domain was available at the time but on my poor tech support salary, I couldn't afford legal nightmares like this. I opted for a variation of my name, instead.
I did get a cease and desist letter from Pringles. They said that use of the chip container was not licenses for commercial use. Although Wilson sporting goods said that use of their tennis ball container was okay. Check with your alternative antennae provider for doing any wi-fi mods.
It may be a bit too noisy for the silent enthusiast crowd. With the pump producing 22db and the fan doing 20db at the lowest voltage, it is not as silent as the Zalman Reserator. Then again, if you used the Zalman product on an AMD 64, the reservoir would double as a drip coffee maker.
I hope this dampening field isn't messing with medical devices like pacemakers, etc. I would like to think that this stuff is tested for all scenarios but,...
I agree. As an Orange County resident, I will miss the big cloud of smoke disappating from Disneyland. I know that years ago, the fireworks show was done by a guy in a fireproof suit running around with a lit flare. They changed to a remote controlled setup before he retired.
Why doesn't Michael Dell become a school teacher like Woz and actually make a difference in someone's life. He doen't need money but he could do something personally enriching.
I think Mike should have pumped Microsoft for a lot more. Like a free Harvard education. Lifetime supply of Mountain Dew. Jenna Jameson dream date. To hell with that MCSE non-sense. Give him something he could use.
Personally, I think this would be a great idea. I think doing this like the new Battlestar Gallactica would work just fine. Just have serveral 2 to 2-1/2 hour shows done each year. You would have greater depth in the episodes. Enterprise would then survive and maybe gain some more viewers.
No, but they are issuing a blanket supeona for all TIVO's that recorded the show. Hell, this might even bleed over to the other TechTV show and they'll get a court order for a full body cavity search of Martin Sargent.
DUGG :)
No need to hack it, it has been slashdotted... same thing :)

Just my $.02.

Maybe infant James T Kirk could soil his diaper while sitting on the lap of the Captain of this new vessel

I saw all the images and read the FAQ on the site. There was no mention of what the in flight movie was :).

According to the them, science has it wrong. They should be scanning my posterior instead of my head. Since I married them, I would agree.
Better patch those security holes...
I hate when Ballmer posts on Slashdot...
I think they should move from SCO to the Red Cross. The Red Cross could use someone who could miraculously get blood out of a turnip.
Is this how M$ develops their product?

Where are all the corn-ball comments about it being a Mickey Mouse deal and that it is just f***ing goofy.
It seems insurmountable for any organization to manage such a behemoth like Disney. Even, Disney itself.

Duke Nukem Forever with a Bit Boys graphics card. That joke was cheap and easy... kind of like a date with a porn star.

The question is, how fast did it play solitaire once Windoze was booted?
I think it will be achieved via "Gay Trout for a Straight Carp", home pond make-over. They will all switch over afterwards...
I would like to thank Belkin for supporting me in my purchase of a Linksys router instead...
