I had the same problem. I had to go to the text mode installer, or I got strange colored lines. Maybe like a refresh rate was way out there or something.
On a semi-related note, I've come to like Linux Mint. Its built on Ubuntu and includes some non-free packages(Video codecs, MP3 support, so forth). Also has some of its own config tools which are alright. Not perfect though, I had a little trouble with dual monitor support. Overall, its a pretty nice distro.
I'm not a 360 owner, but doesn't it seem like theres a flaw in saying that its okay your 360 broke, because you had a replacement plan? A defect is still a defect, I think.
I think that might be why the article mentions a future version using a hybrid of our current type of suit with the newer skintight type. I don't really know much about space suits, though...
I'm not sure if its fair to call it vapor just yet. They're aiming for a full release in september(At least I think that was the last word on the subject). I think they've even shipped some developper units, albeit with some bugs in the hardware still(Short battery life was the problem, I think).
So, when september comes and goes without an openmoko release, it'll be vapor. I'm still hopeful, and maybe thats clouding my judgement on the subject... but wouldn't it be neat to have a phone like that?
Off topic, but 3m is about where you should be. Most sources say you should put yourself about 3x to 6x the screen size away from it... So, thats 111 inches for you, or 9.25 feet.
Even if thats true(Which is certainly possible, I suppose), it means very little. You don't need to get rid of all the light, just enough to stop the camera from operating. The light reflecting off a person is not likely to be as bright as looking directly at the sun, right?
Working for me. I've been downloading for ~45 minutes, and speeds have been jumping between 4kps and 450kbps. Should be done in another 30 minutes. I've got my upload set to unlimited, and I'm still only uploading at around 30kbps. I'll keep it running all day at least, though.
Well they might not have been as well armed or trained, but they did have some advantage right? They owned the terrain and had sheer numbers in their favor.
That said, I don't disagree with the OP either. But it wasn't that heavily skewed against them(somalians), I think.
I might be off a bit here, but I'm pretty sure the PS3 uses 2.5" HDDs. The current limit on those is somewhere around the 80GB per platter region(With that fancy Perpendicular recording stuff).
Couldn't the industry, if it were so inclined, just stop licensing software players? I would imagine that compared to set top DVD players, the software must be a pretty small segment.

Everyone post one, and we'll see if we get collisions! Brilliant!

No, grandma is a very efficient user. There are at least 7.
Yeah, but they only last two or three days... Then you're pretty much free of the dependancy. (My experience. YMMV)

I might be way off, but it seems more likely to me that Safari will be grabbing its marketshare from firefox, not IE.
Was that an intentional troll, or do you just enjoy attacking people for their opinions?
It must be good with a name like that. Its turbo and HD.
It was "The Third Wave". Heres a link, its pretty interesting. http://www.vaniercollege.qc.ca/Auxiliary/Psycholog y/Frank/Thirdwave.html
Pants without pockets? I haven't got any of those... my girlfriend does though.
Just kidding. Do what works for ya.

Maybe nintendo did the math, idk.
Nah, my Nissan honks with the remote locks. My girlfriends Rav4 has the chirp. I guess the horn is just cheaper to implement.

The best part about that story is that no one will ever figure out where it came form.

You can be sure they found it if there was!

I like that one too. I still see it in the mall nearby me... unless they're just really old bottles...
HDMI to DVI adapters are easy to get, but it doesn't make a difference. HDCP is still present on the DVI connections.
There are some at the levittown Bestbuy on long Island. Look harder! :P
