Virgin Mobile calls it the "18 cent" anytime(all the time?) plan, or something to that effect. Its actually $20 every 3 months minimum, and I'm pretty sure the parent was correct about the time never expiring permanently... I don't have a link for any of this, but I work for radioshack, and we sell it. This was out of the brochure.
I think this is just the state of things in the industry right now. A friend of mine just had his 360 bite the dust, and he's been waiting a week (hopefully it arrives today) for the packing label to ship it back to Microsoft. That might be unusual, I'm not really sure. But 3-4 days from nintendo doesn't seem too bad in that case:P
I can relate to that one. I recently picked up a 2GB Cruzer Micro at radioshack($50, after rebates:( ) Its got a retractable USB plug. Might help, as long as the retracting bits don't fail. Seems pretty sturdy for now.
Absolutely. I think any shop owned by a hobbyist is going to be a better experience. For me, its paintball.
Now to go WAY off topic, it just so happens I'm shopping for a.22 for target shooting (Have 10 acres in upstate NY, where it will be primarily used). Would you happen to have any good resources to help a shopper get more acquainted before I head down to the shop? Greatly appreciated if you decide to reply in email.
Excellent point! Although not exactly you're typical local store, I work for radioshack to pay my way through school. For the most part, our salespeople aren't that knowledgable, DO push the insurance(Sometimes too much) and are generally interested in padding out their commission.
It really is a killer though, when you spend a significant amount of time with your customer, answer all their questions honestly, and have them take their knowledge somewhere else to save $5. Now, I can understand if its a bit price discrepancy, but if not, do us a favor. You're paying for knowledge(in this case), not just product.
Also note, this trick only works once. We remember you. When theirs only one or two knowledgable sales people in the store, expect to get stuck with the dumb guys after that. I'll make sure to be busy.
For the most part I agree. But, there are always those times where you just don't feel like lugging that power adapter around, right? Its mostly trivial, but I do think its a convenience thing. OTOH, the only way i could see that happening is inductance... Thats not very much power, and it would probably be prohibitively expensive.
To be fashionable! But you're right, theres still a varying delay that depends on network traffic. THe worst i've seen though, is around half a second. At best, its almost unnoticable. I work for radioshack, and we tested the system by standing next to each other at various times of the day. The clarity is far better then nextels system though.
You have no idea... I work for a certain nation wide verizon retailer, and CYHMN guy was present at a meeting. Appearantly, its in his contract that he is not required to appear on stage. So, the extent of his presence at the meeting was walking down the aisle, to spout his catch phrase then leaving. He was paid handsomely.
The discount isn't $4 a month, it would be $4 a day. So you save roughly $120 a month, and that means you put an extra $20 in your pocket. Not that I think its a good idea, but thats the numbers.
They're out there. Sanyo makes a phone that is actually quite large by todays standards. WOn't fit in your pocket, but like you said, i bet it would take a nasty fall with ease. Decent sound too. (Tried lots of phones, work for that place that claims to have all the answers)
That sounds fun, but according to the article the revolution won't connect to the DS. Then again, the article does question its source. Or, maybe the next gameboy will also feature wireless.
I don't know about that. As I understand it, the game has been preloaded on peoples computers for weeks now. It could have been activated long ago, if not for vivendi holding things up.
Its not isolated, either. In my hometown in NY, we had the exact same thing happen a few years ago. It was a 5 million dollar bond issue.
A few years after that, they decided to spend about 1/10th as much on a new library and auditorium. How generous:)
Well, we wouldn't want the tubes to get clogged with VR.

No way. Some guy on a forum told me it was possible. In fact, the guy after him claimed to have done it on a PentiumII.
What if the next job needs to be printed on both sides? Of course, you could just put in paper when its practical.

It may not be the traditional way, but at least they're trying to innovate.
They've actually got a better deal now. RayoVac charger and batteries ~$20. Bought a set myself.
Yep, and its the same one hes had in all the recent mario games. I must admit I liked the novelty at first, but it is a little grating after a while.
Not at my blockbuster. Consider yourself lucky.

(Post from work. Just happened.)
I'm surprised no one else mentioned Grandia II. I enjoyed that one also.
If you can go without the laptop power, the "Igo Everywhere" is only 60. Powers anything smaller like MP3 players, cells, games.

We aren't too far off from that, with the current gen being able to accept a hard drive and network adapter. Still, a far cry from the PC.
I don't get it. Was that supposed to be a joke?

I think STP is actually 1ATM, and 0 degrees centigrade. 4 degrees is where water is most dense, I think.
