    2) ISPs do not allow a home user to set up a web server and will block or ban your account if it finds port 80 or http/https (amoung others as well like ftp excessively used)

    Your ISPs may not allow home users to do this, mine allows web servers, mail servers, the whole shooting match on their home accounts. They'll even allocate you a block of 8 static IPs to do it properly.

    Oddly enough, I'm sitting here using Firefox on an iBook G4 which says that it doesn't run any version of Silverlight above 1.x.

    Seems I can't use their service, never mind.

    Yes, but you have to remember that Microsofts current idea of cross platform is that it runs on XP and Vista !

    I'm just curious on how they can be forced into a Chapter 7? Failed reorganization?

    Three failed re-orgs actually, none of which have even shown any signs of succeeding. They got filed with the court and then mysteriously withdrawn whenever anybody started asking questions about them.

    Perhaps RTFA would be an idea ? Novel one I know this being /.

    In a statement, Phorm said: "There is a process in place to allow publishers to contact Phorm and opt out of the system, but we do not comment on individual cases."

    This would seem to imply that unless you opt out you are in.

    I think it's because it doesn't use MAPI the same way as Outlook. If I remember correctly it uses Outlook Web Access instead of MAPI.

    Not when I try to run X3 Terran Conflict.

    Because the Tages DRM garbage that the publishers insisted on inflicting on Egosofts game isn't compatabile with Windows 7 even though it works OK on Vista (which came as a shock).

    Are Tages doing anything about it ? Nope, they take the Creative Labs view that they don't support beta systems.

    I leave it to the reader to decide whether the defective by design belongs with Tages or Microsoft.

    Because it's correct, there's only a version 1 runtime for Mac PPC.

    Called at around 8am a couple of weeks after we'd installed a wireless router into his office saying he was having problems connecting to the wireless.

    Ran through checking he had the wireless key correct, etc and then finally thought to ask him where he was.

    Moscow he says immediately letting me know what the problem was, signal strength, the signal from his wireless point in Edinburgh couldn't quite reach the distance to where his laptop was in a hotel lobby in Moscow......
