    They have, however, been having some major operational issues lately, it seems. Delay after delay, botched rollouts, etc. What's going on?

    What's going on? They are selling like hot cakes! Tis what's going on! Delays cause they sell more then expected, Botched Rollout by selling more then you can produce? I say that Apple's really pissed about that. I bet they even fired everyone that worked on such a flop. It's horrable! This is the death hit for Apple! Apple is DEAD! Whee!

    and yes, that last bit is called scarcasm...

    So you are contracting to sell your future copyrighted work to your employer?

    They are, they get contacted by the label to make the music. but if the label doesn't make money off of the cd, why should the label keep hiring the band to make more cds so they lose more money?

    To be honest, give up on linux support. The main players don't even support dvd menus so why should they support the creation of them?

    Mplayer's devs have just given up tring to support them, xine I'm not sure about, but last I knew, libdvdmenu wasn't updated for the longest time and that's what xine used.

    100 dB in your ear or 100 dB from the sterio putting out 130 db from 10 foot away is the same damnage, or the jet putting out 150 db from 100 foot away. So no, it doesn't hurt that it's close to the ear...

    So don't buy a printer that keeps you locked in, the problem is when the only printers on the market are $500 and wont go down, that's when the problems happen.

    that is only one company dealing with their products. If Nintendo and Microsoft and Sony all got together and basically said they won't drop below $450 for any of the consoles, that is illegal. Keeping your prices set to a level that ensures profit is fine, but when you start making the entire industy into a monopoly, then it's illegal.
