DJ Hero looks to be the newest addition to freshen up the genre.
I'm not sure people will find it as "accessible" as guitar hero though due simply to the fact that almost everyone young and old understands the concept of a guitar.
Couldn't you say that a driver who drives less has less driver experience than somebody who drives more? Therefore the driver who drives less could be a higher risk?
Sounds like one of those accidental discoveries...
"Ah crap, I just knocked over the vat of molten silicon we had sitting on the roof ledge!! My boss is gonna be super mad at.... oh hey, look at all these little balls! Weeee, silicon balls!"
They're also one of the largest (if not the largest) cities in Canada to dump all of their raw sewage into the harbour. Not sure where you were breathing this air.;)
As a child I watched many science/math shows on PBS and CBC(Canadian). 3-2-1 Contact, and a math show (forget it's name) were faves on PBS and a show called The Edison Twins on CBC were all quite entertaining to me.
Book wise, my parents had complete sets of Encyclopaedias and childcraft books that I seemed to read over and over again.
I can't think of any movies that I was really into Science/Math wise, but as far as TV and books... they worked wonders for me.
The typed in text has to be verified against some known text, so wouldn't the source material already have to be known in order to verify that the captcha is correct. If the source text is already known then this process doesn't seem to accomplish anything. Perhaps I'm missing the point.
Speaking of google, if Digg has been forced to remove reference to the key, shouldn't google do so as well in their search results? Or are googles pockets too big to go after?
Guitar hero is really all about using the guitar controller. Try using a normal ps2 controller with the game and you'll have much less fun. I've played some of these rhythm games using a keyboard and bleh... boring in comparison.
Hydrothermal events (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrothermal_vent) exist in the oceans and pump out water at temperatures very close to, if not, at boiling temperatures. Pumping warm water back into the ocean is not going to make that much of a difference on the oceans.
And I, for one, welcome our new vegetation overlords.

A documentary was made about Tetris a number of years back... http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/documentaries/features/tetris.shtml Very interesting watch. Here's the torrent... http://www.mininova.org/tor/1010798 Enjoy.
Thanks to uppers the pilots are going longer, stronger, faster.
Jerking at the base is ok, but jerking at the top works much better.

I've been looking for a t-shirt that says, "Thank God for science!"
I thought it would be funny.
I want that shirt now too!
Not being able to downgrade to IE6 is a bad thing?
Hey mods, the post is meant to be funny.
Will it blend?

Here's another amazing example of what you can do with very little. A south african boy makes a homemade paraglider from fertilizer bags...

A more recent candidate for the list... the wego kite tube.

This thing isn't on the market for obvious reasons. :)
I have version 1.5.0.5 installed on my windows machine and the online demo still crashes my browser. I will await version 1.5.0.6. :)
The poster is specifically asking for applications and tools, obviously it pertains to technology and computers.
As a computer and music geek myself, I would like to see more articles related to how technology is used in creating music.
Just because you aren't interested in the topic, doesn't mean others aren't.
opacity in mozilla, IE...
/* for mozilla */ /* CSS way */ /* IE way *?
In the css...
-moz-opacity:.7;
opacity:.7;
filter:alpha(opacity=70);
For opacity to work in IE, you need to define a width or a height for the element you're using the opacity on.
Since we've had a rails article today, what about this rails web todo app from the creators or rails itself... http://www.tadalist.com/
