not always, in my office we share usb drives to save time, so far they're the handiest things i've found so far... but if you really need biomectrically locked drive that looks like an inkpen, go right ahead
Whould it be easier/better to run linux out of windows through software like virtual PC (or something of the like) or to emulate a windows environment in linux to accomidate the windows software. sounds like either way you go, you'll get similar results, but virtual pc emulated the entire system, rather than just the os environment.
thoughts??
Does this mean that since the RIAA is out 50 mil... (that THEY diddn't think to give to the rightful owner).... the 50 mil will be deducted from the amount of money made through cd sales so they can whine a bit more about file sharing?
that is only concidering the U.S. retail market. worldwide, everything concidered, amd's market share, is closer to 14% (i could be wrong, but i don't think so). too bad guys
going to limit the ability of the RIAA to get the names of people downloading misic. i mean if the gov't can't do it, then why should the riaa be able to?
i think that Bill Gates deserves every penny he's made over the years. but still even if the people don't claim their money 2/3 still go to the school system. better spent there i guess. does anybody happen to know how much money microsoft had donated to various schools over the years? im just curious
i sent an email to this guy asking him how the could make such a broad statement without taking into effect advances in technology. he responded with what he actually told the reporter. i think this guy was just mis quoted. his email is below:
Patrick,
Thanks for your note. The reporter misquoted me. Here is exactly what I told him (via email):
"I've no particular wisdom to share on this topic - my own research does not speak to it. The only thought that occurs to me is that the feature should appeal to "variety seekers" with a "low need for control." (Random shuffle is a control freak's worst nightmare.) Also, I wonder if it could have a
(deleterious) long-term effect on attention span. Adult attention span has been decreasing over time. Random shuffle may be a manifestation of this M-TV generation phenomenon."
Ciao!

the fact that now we're gonna have to worry about parercuts when getting the disk out?
Fortunately tho, now you don't have to worry about the drive closing with your finger stuck in a disk
You took that way out of context... by no means do i feel that open source needs all the superfical crap that windows has, i personally feel that windows xp is great, once you get through the fisher price coating that it has. and im quite sure that given the right book and enough time i can teach myself whatever os i wanted to... but with windows you at least have a shallow learning curve, and 75% of the time, you need to know what you're doing to really screw anything up. not everyone grew up on linux and for those of us living in a microsoft world, open is too time consuming, i already know how to ride a bike one way....
i have to say, that my own personal reason for not using an OS that is open.... is because i can't figure that shit out. i've been spoiled by microsoft. make it more friendly, and more ppl will use it
i used to only have to worry about the soccer mom talking on her phone while driving... now i got to worry about her trying to be talked through taking a picture, while listening to a kenny G MP3 on the highway... fabulous
had this same kind of thing on thier show, bullshit. they went to a pro earth rally with a petition to ban the use of DiHydrogen Monoxide. every person they asked to sign it did so happily.....even the event coordinator.
god bless america..... i think we need it
