I bought 2 sticks of DDR 3200 ram from them a few days ago. There was some error with the ordering and it sent it incorrectly. I paid for overnight and didn't get it until 7 days later, now I wouldn't have been so mad if I didn't have any problems with their customer support.

I called once first to find out what the problem was, had a little talk with them andd they told me they were calling to check if the order was already shipped and they told me they would call me back after they found out. I didn't get a call back, so I called the next day. I told them I wanted another one sent overnight and the lady gave me crap. I got mad and then she said "You dont talk to me like that, I'm a girl", I replied saying "This is the US country of equality, I'll talk to you the same way I'd talk to anyone else!" she started saying somethin how I didn't know who I was talking to and it just made me more angry. She also refused to let me talk to her manager, then she transfered me to some guy and he started off by saying "Hey asshole" I went off at that point and he ended up hanging up on me.

After about my 5th call I finally got through to the manager and they wouldn't send me another overnigight or give me a refund. I contemplated what to do for a few more days and the package arrived in the mail a week late....

anyway, needless to say I wont be ordering from there again.

He did it maliciously and then he tried to make it sound like he was just "doing his part" for the hacker community! what the hell is wrong with this guy! he's done something illegal and he's trying to make it sound like he's done nothing wrong.

I dont think that 5 years is warranted though, if I broke into someones house and stole everything I wouldn't even get more than a year (if that) and I wouldn't pay any fines. The act of it being on a computer seems to make people afraid and want to make it a worse crime. Also I dont think a judge can order no use of computers. A computer can be a television, console, camera, phone, or even a cd/mp3 player... If a judge ordered no use of computers then he would be disconnected from the world and I dont think that should be allowed doing that is like taking basic rights, like the right we have to be free.

I've been using cox for quite a while now and I recently heard about their new AUP and I'm dissapointed. I've allways had good service with them and I use my broadband connection without problems almost 100% of the time.

Though recently I noticed that when I download the speeds are closer to 300kb/s when before they used to be closer to 700kb/s. I heard that they are caping users that use alot of bandwidth and I'm afraid I was capped as well. It's sad that I now cant play my xbox live, talk on my vonage phone, and download the newest FreeBSD release at the same time anymore.

But even now I rarely have problems with their service being up (I used to have problems with that in the past) so I really don't feel like going through the trouble of finding another provider. I just have to deal with xbox lag or phone lag whenever I'm doing it all at the same time (I try to throttle my PC download speed during times when I'm playing games or using the phone)

I guess I've just grown to deal with it, though I probably should write a letter or give them a call asking why I'm having these problems. Especially since they advertise playing games, using the phone, and internet on TV all the time.
