It is so interesting to see how large companies can be for something and have all the employees be totally against. I currently work for one of the large companies pushing for a tiered internet. Check out our CEO's interview . I love working here, I know many people that love work here but we all hate the company's push.
What are we supposed to do? I can't just quit my job because I have a moral objection to the company's roadmap. It is not realistic to quit. I need to pay rent! I mean in the end, the company gets more money, so in some way I get more money. Right? Well that's what I tell myself at least.
All these comments and no talk of the Final Fantasy XI Bot (FFXI) ? It seems you can do "micro missions" with this bot and its integrated with your PC or Playstation FFXI. Which might be cool, haven't had much time to explore, anyone try it out?
I never got to see the original Dr Who growing up in CA, USA, being born in 1981. (I have seen every single Red Dwarf though... that one ROCKS!) but i always heard about it. Geek friends, the internet.. there was always this Dr Who geek level that I felt that I never reached.
Now I can download the new BBS 2005 DR Who series and watch them. If the old ones are as interesting as the new ones, I think that I missed out on so much. I'm sure there are the purist that say the old school Dr Who is so much better. But unfortunatly i heard i can't get my hands on those, sad.
Anyway the new BBS Dr Who is very entertaining and i recomend everyone should check it out. Even if you are on this side of the pond.....
I can just imagine schools setting up jammers for 802.11b just because everyone brought in their DS to play during math class. Or even cheated on tests.
What goes on in schools now a days? I could never image a situation where I was taking a test and if I busted out my gameboy my teacher would think it was perfectly ok. Do teachers just not care?? Why not instead of setting up a 802.11b jammer why not just yell at the kids to to not use the freaking DS during class.
I just spent the last half hour fixing all my extensions in my new updated Firefox.
Hell my google toolbar didn't work. Did you check the comments on install page about how to make it work with the new release. jeebus. i could do it on my computer but trying to talk anyone through it would suck hard core.
Check out the book The Little Schemer. Its a great book to get started with in Scheme. Its easy, and not dense. It is set up in a very interesting way. Its all examples. There are no paragraphs or dense explanation. Desgined for someone that is just starting out in any language.
Number Munchers!!!! The one game that taught me more math in a day than my teacher did in a week. And then there was Word Munchers!
I was at a salvation army and I found that they were selling an old version of Number Munchers. I look at the price tag. $25!!! I guess people know its a classic
I was actually on the connexion for a project that I was working on. Even on boeing's own test plane any hardware that was going to be turned on had to be flight certified. If the hardware was flight certified then it could be on while the plane was landing/taking off. It was crazy. Even if you got a machine flight certified if you installed a new piece of software on it then it had to be re-certified.
Just give me $200,000 to help out my state and keep my public library open 7 days a week. Or how about just a few hundred thousand to keep my fire station open.
I mean that's nothing compared to the billion or trillion dollars right? Its chump change.
Why do I suddenly feel like a beggar asking for pennies....
There is a great story (reg req) done on Wal-Mart at the LA times that links the giant store with the struggle of the workers from Safeway, Albertsons that are currently on strike.
Arg! I am actually interested in the use of this die!
I think that is the real story here. What types of games did the Roman's play with this? What culture / civ came up with it? Was it the Roman's or did they incorporate it from one of the areas that they conquered?
I was at a local dinner with my vegiterian girl friend at the time and I ended up ordering a hamburger while she got a grilled cheese sandwich. I then had to sit through a 10 minute lecture on how meat is processed and killed and that I was a horrible person for eating meat.
So I then told her "Do you know how cheese is made? They inject cows with so much hormones that their udders get so big that they can't even walk. Their legs break and they just lay in one spot for the rest of their lives giving milk for your cheese sandwich."
That was the best meal ever. I not only got to eat my hamburger but I also got to eat her grilled cheese sandwich.
Thing were never the same after that....
They are a cable channel that cuts the Professor on Futurama when he says "sweet zombie Jesus", at a time that is supposed to be only adults watching. I wouldn't look to them for controversial programming.
They also cut out the "although they killed our Lord" from the Wish Upon a Weinstein episode.
And the Osama Bin Laden references are cut of adult swim and the dvd.

But at least it will make you forget the question.

Hrm...
I always think "I would kill everyone in this room for some chilli cheese fries"
That's the only think that gets me through the day.

The person driving the H2 should pay more in taxes. Their huge/heavy cars cause more damage to roadways so they should pay more..
maybe its just the fact that I hate those cars with a passion
yeah 3 beers are bad, but did they test to see if 6? how about 12? i bet it turns good again around 12.

I seem to always figure out how to operate my cell when i'm drunk.
3am.
Drunk Me: HELLO! HELLO! I love you!
Ex-Girlfriend: God dammit. Stop calling me at this hour.
*hang up*
3:01am
Drunk Me: HELLO! HELLO! But I really love you!
Ex-Girlfriend: I'm calling the police!
isn't it "beat up some midgets"?

MTV didn't get to where it got by playing music, they got to where they are by playing MUSIC VIDEOS
I don't understand what MTV has to do with music. Now if they were selling crappy reality tv shows online then I would understand.
