Something's not right with the numbers on those charts. The first thing I noticed was the total sold for Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song. The top chart reports that 365,886 copies were sold through 5/22. But the bottom chart has the same game having sold 375,161 copies at the end of the prior week. And in the console chart, if you take the total units sold in the week from 5/9 to 5/15, add the sales from 5/16 to 5/22, only the GBA and Gamecube match the total for the week ending 5/22. I wonder what their sources are.
The connection was with Episode II, when Anakin killed the Tusken Raiders. The film cut to Yoda meditating in the Jedi temple, and you can hear Qui-Gon's saying "Anakin! Anakin! No!"
Not only had many Jedi died on Geonosis, but the very nature of death itself was now unclear to the wise old master. While meditating, Yoda had felt a traumatic event befall young Anakin Skywalker. At that very moment, he also heard the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master slain a decade previous. It was impossible for a Jedi to retain his identity after becoming one with the Force, yet he had heard it.
It was another dangerous and disturbing puzzle for Yoda to solve while the Republic collapsed around him.
Does alt.binaries.movies.shadowrealm count? It was in the middle of being posted when I got home from a midnight showing last night. The file is a 1.5 GB DVD ISO image. Haven't had the chance to watch it yet.
The Sony hype machine was in full gear when they announced the specs for the PS2. I don't remember off the top of my head things they claimed it could do (but couldn't), but it served it's purpose in the end. The Dreamcast never got a chance to take off because people decided to hold off a year and wait for the PS2.
The Xbox and Gamecube were released the same week in North America, Nov 15, 2001 for the Xbox and Nov 18 for the Gamecube. The Gamecube had been out since Sep 14 in Japan. And the Playstation 2 is the least powerful machine of the 3.
No, PG-13 was created in part because of Temple of Doom. I think a Gremlin exploding in a microwave also played a part. According to the IMDb, Red Dawn was the first movie released with a PG-13 rating. The trivia page for Gremlins says it is probably Spielberg's involvment in both Gremlins and Temple of Doom that saved them from R ratings.
Almost every time, the difference between the URL in the info or source and the actual URL for the trailer is an 'm' right before the 480 in the URL. I can't remember if the smaller sizes use different letters, but I never bother with those anyway. I've pulled a lot of trailers off the QuickTime site the last 5 years or so, and that's how most of the trailers have been named.
But there's still a question whether that exclusivity will turn out the way GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas were exclusive to the PS2 and Viewtiful Joe and Resident Evil 4 were exclusive to the Gamecube.
Takara and Hasbro could try to license these transforming CDs from Bandai. Though the designs they licensed from Bandai back in the '80s (Jetfire, Deluxe Insecticons, Deluxe Autobots) couldn't be used in the show or comic, so they probably wouldn't get to use these.
I apologize if posting links to a store is frowned upon, but that's where I first came across them and Googling for these guys (Kamen Riders Disk Animals) turns up mostly online retailers. Plus, the first link didn't have the crab.
I'll bet once you get past the shadybookkeeping, the movie industry is doing pretty well, as is the music industry. That certainly hasn't stopped them.
BEN (continuing his narrative)
When your father left, he didn't know your mother was pregnant. Your mother and I knew he would find out eventually, but we wanted to keep you both as safe as possible, for as long as possible. So I took you to live with my brother Owen on Tatooine... and your mother took Leia to live as the daughter of Senator Organa, on Alderaan.
I can't remember if "When your father left, he didn't know your mother was pregnant" (or some semblance) was actually left in the movie version of RotJ, it's been a while since I've seen the movie. But I remember the rest of the quote comes from the novelization, which, while it may be based on an early draft of the script, isn't strictly canon (I hope saying that doesn't open up a can of worms here).
The novelizations of the original trilogy had extra scenes and dialog not in the movies, like more of Luke's training on Dagobah in ESB and Kenobi telling Luke in ANH that even a duck has to learn how to swim. I can't remember if Han's confrontation with Jabba in Mos Eisley was in the book. I haven't read it, but I heard the book for the Phantom Menace also had some extra scenes that weren't in the movie, like a dream Anakin had about he and Padme leading opposing armies into battle.
One thing I did learn from the novelizations was the Emperor's name was Palpatine.
Another spoiler I read said that Leia was born first, and Padme got to hold her. This left the imprint that Leia remembered in Return of the Jedi. Padme died while giving birth to Luke, which is why he had no memory of his mother. The medical droids working on Padme couldn't exactly determine her cause of death, implying she died of a broken heart, which is the sadness Leia remembers.
However, Wada said that starting April 1, Square Enix will release a new game every month.
I wonder what that exactly means. Will Japan get a new Square Enix title every month, will each market (Japan, North America, Europe) get one, or will a new game be released in some location in the world each month, giving them the chance to count localizations of the same title more than once?
(Actually I have a secret theory that Square determines the success of a console. If they make the next big FF for it---not just a port or sidegame---that'll be the successful console this round. Been that way since the NES.)
That reasoning might hold up in Japan, especially now with Enix and the Dragon Quest series, but Rockstar (GTA) and EA (Madden) would be bigger factors in the US. Plus, Square probably only had a real influence in the outcome of the PS1 / N64 / Saturn generation.
Since the statutorily defined property rights of a copyright holder have a character distinct from the possessory interest of the owner of simple "goods, wares, [or] merchandise," interference with copyright does not easily equate with theft, conversion, or fraud. The infringer of a copyright does not assume physical control over the copyright nor wholly deprive its owner of its use. Infringement implicates a more complex set of property interests than does run-of-the-mill theft, conversion, or fraud.
Maybe before they sue, but not necessarily before they threaten.

The next Slashdot story with Episode II reviews was about a week before it opened, with raves and pans.

But if we use negative integers, 1729 gets trumped by 0, since x^3 + (-x)^3 = 0 for all integers.

I thought you just misspelled blood, which would have helped dispel the misconception that Nintendo is a kiddie company.
I hope that's a British synonym for laid off. From watching the Office, I thought the word over there was redundancy.
Murky enough that Beowulf survives the battle with Grendel's mother and dies after battling a dragon?
