  1. Just a thought.... on More Hints at Nintendo's Revolution · · Score: 4, Interesting

That thing looks an awful lot like a disk drive for a desktop PC (and about the same size, too). What are the odds Nintendo allows you to use it in a computer? That would be very interesting indeed.

I prefer the PS3 over 360 because of the simplicity of design. 360 with the PC-like design and buttons and whatnots all over the machine makes my eyes hurt. PS3 is simple and efficient, and has everything you need. Nintendo is still the winner, however.

Comparing the Wheel of Time series to the Amber series is kind of...completely wrong. Having read both, Amber is on a plane far above WOT in almost every category.

So...you don't count the original series? It seems like it should be some sort of backhanded insult of the original series, but I don't get it. Explain yourself.

I'm a bit confused at the use of the term FUD. Explain what you mean by that, because I don't see how they're making people lose trust in other Star Trek series in order to make people stay with Enterprise.

Or is it just that you don't actually know what the word means.

Bad analogy, because that assumes the proprietary software (new cars) is a better quality than the OSS software (used cars). While this may be the case in the MSOffice/OpenOffice duel or others, it clearly isnt so in many other categories, most obviously Firefox/IE

  25. Long live GMR! on Game Informer Magazine's Massive Reader Base · · Score: 2, Informative

By far the best gaming magazine in the past few years was the short-lived GMR magazine, which was EB's version of Gameinformer. It was written by some great people who I've talked to a few times, and had the best articles, reviews, previews, and sense of humor of any magazine out there. It was the gamer's magazine. Unfortunately, the plug was pulled on it a few months ago (in hindsight, maybe because of internal knowledge of the GS buyout?) and it's gone forever now. For those interested, I'd definitely check out a back issue; even if the info is outdated, it's worth it.
