    The 'far away galaxy' thing was a good fudge, explains how they managed to develop all this technology to traverse a galaxy in a few hours but didn't figure out how to fire weapons that locked on target. (Hang on, they did, Jango Fett had one. But how come they couldn't do it years later... )

    Simple - the Empire introduced draconian Intellectual Property laws that stifled technological development.

    Are you honestly trying to tell me someone tried to equate the energy of two massive planes hitting a couple of deformable steel structures at uncertain speeds to a definite mass of TNT? Or is that how much TNT you'd need to bring both the towers down?

    Assuming that this group uses a Proton launcher (the heavy Russian launcher currently used to lift ISS sections and Soyuz spacecraft) they would only be able to lift 44,000 lbs into LEO per launch.

    Yeah, but what about a Beowulf cluster of those?
