"Our 2012 line-up is the gold-standard in auto-mobiles and we're giving you these GREAT deals for this Summer only!" *men with machine guns jump through the windows to detain the anti-Olympic "terrorists"*
But what if Microsoft thad really invented it first and simply hadn't gotten their designs out or weren't going to release hardware themselves? In that case, they would be right to try to get the patent before Apple screws them and their partners with an iPod patent.
Pepsi's US marketshare isn't exactly dwarfed by Coca-Cola's. I think Pepsi does it because only an idiot would actually be confused by who makes Pepsi (Pepsi, of course) and who makes Coca-Cola (duh!).
I certainly hope they wouldn't be using Access databases, but Access can be used as a frontend to remote databases including SQL Server or other ODBC sources (potentially even MySQL). In fact, they could probably just use Access forms to generate reports rather than Word.
wtf? Are you brain damaged? It's a well known FACT that women and minorities tend to be paid less than a white male doing the same job. Not going to bother to cite any of the plethora of sources because you will simply try to attack their credibility with non-sensical arguments.
Too bad, a tree on your property should not hang over or blow their berries/fruit onto someone else's property. To say someone shouldn't buy a home because an asshole neighbor's tree is dropping shit in the yard and refuses to tame the tree is ludicrous.
Has this been confirmed as the behavior for the final release of Vista? I doubt that the final Vista would switch off stuff that's being done in Direct3D because there's a new OpenGL driver installed.
It may also have something to do with customer manipulation. Why do you think they mark items that are $1.00 as 2 for $2 or 3 for $3. To manipulate people into buying multiple. They even once had my mother under the impression that you have to buy 2 or 3 or whatever or you wouldn't get the "deal" even though there was no deal.
Most of the documentation comes with the dev tools themselves, but you can read what should be the latest revisions for free at MSDN. The MSDN subscription is for the software and other goodies.
It was just a memory expansion so games that didn't require it shouldn't have seen any performance increase whatsoever since they weren't programmed to use more than the onboard memory of the N64.
Actually, the menu bar can change depending on the content. If it's a Word document, the menu bar may have little to do with the browser itself anymore.
No, the rules stay the same, the government just starts caring that you're be anti-competitive. They normally wouldn't have given a rat's ass that they put a browser in Windows if it weren't for Microsoft's tendency to demand that nobody bundle another browser along with it. THAT was the sticking point. They told Microsoft to stop strong-arming their customers to further their monopoly and went on about their business. With IE's slipping market share, we may find that just having it in Windows without the strong-arm tactics isn't enough to sustain the browser monopoly anyway.
A person is more likely to be struck by lightning than a crash ever occuring because of that problem?

Why are they charging for the use of a mark contained within the sources of a GPLed work? That seems rather dirty to me.
So will I get sued for using vanilla sources and not removing the Linux mark?

Please, enroll in an accounting course at your local community college so you won't be spewing this non-sensical bullshit on /. anymore.

If he's willing to rip off a store for $450, what do you think he'll do when he finds your wallet laying out? Maybe stealing a few bucks at a time.
AFAIK, Monad wasn't going to be included in Vista even before the virus business came about.

No, quite relevant since it was suggested that those failed bombs were indicative of al Qaeda's capabilities.
Have an HD-DVD so they can carelessly hog as much space with high-res cut scenes and such might be a little too tempting for game studios...

You should've seen the add-on manager in IE6 for XP SP2.
Too bad Google is a US company.

It made no sense the first time you said it since the GBA games were targetted at the cheaper GBA & SP to begin with.
That is after banding together to form a single economy. How does it compare per capita?
They did. Where do you think Windows XP Pro came from? O_o
