CrazyJim1,
I agree with most everything you said and a good ranking system is best for any game. Though since I have played H2 I just wanted to point out that camping while you may stay alive tends to not do much good, as its not how many times you die but if you win the overall match/game. This is ok but not good if you are playing in a game with random players in a ranked setting. You can be great but no one else is willing to be part of the team.
If it had the exact same specs, it would perform exactly the same.
Well not really since there is much less overhead "read software and extra useless drivers". The fact that each console has a set of known hardware makes it easier to great really nice looking games. Now actual game play and play ability thats another thread.
As to the "offline mode" that does not always work and if anything at all happens to the install base, it seems to force you to login to pay offline again.
Also this article, which you clearly did not ready made it clear this was about the EULA and the box not saying anything about steam being required to even play in the "offline mode"
I am waiting to hear the US launch has been pushed out once again.
Now not to be harsh or anything its like the US is 2nd class and the EU is an after thought. Though I am sure there will be some US units to make it to EU before the launch there.
What gets me and its not the design being flawed or not, or even they are going to fix it or not. The thing that gets me is the response that this is just something the users and the game developers will have to deal with.
Though part of that might be the translation of what he said, though with the track record of Sony I don't think it was the translation.
In a year or so (so theoretically still an exclusive until then) but with crappier graphics and shittier load times.
The only reason games like this are still being ported on the PS2 is because of the martket share the console holds. The graphics just are not there on the PS2 never has been and I doubt they will be for the PS3.
Doesn't matter anyway since the school will be held responcible anyway no matter what they do. People do not want to take responcibility for their actions.
I think you are right, though I would add in that while updates can be done via xbox live, its generally not done as well as it could/should be in order to provide a much longer life span.
Also there is the lack of game MODS like CS for HL. Though this is "supposed" to change with farcry and another game I can not recall at this time.
I love my xbox and the xbox live service minaly for its ease of use and it has proven to be rather stable, imagine that MS making something rather stable at all.
I am sure bungie and MS would realy like to stop the bulk of the "kiddies" spewing profanities. Though in my experience most of that is done during the "building/setup" of the game once enough players have been located. Its also at this time that everyone can talk and hear everyone but no one can tell who it is.
This is the main reason why I rarely play without the players in my clan or my friends list.

The multi-platform MMORPG Square made for the PC and the PS2, having played it on both platforms I can say that both PS2 and PC players are on the same servers.
The is possible since the game is sold with the HDD and updates are downloaded to the HDD as they are on the PC.
Actually you would have to get a new eprom as that is or at least was the way each xbox was banned, but the actual xbox live account was not banned.
Now if you did not replace the HDD with a larger one, and boot without the mod chip on I do not see how they can detect if you have one installed.
yes mych like finding another peice of a puzzle. I had always thought that it was games that had to be "signed" in order to run, though clearly this is not the case.
The way the joy stick lovers see it is that you are not smart enough to be able to adjust to using a joystick/controller.
I think it will be hard to balance the keyboard and mouse on my lap while I play a game. Besides its not wireless so I have to move closer to the TV.
Well I know people as well that own an xbox controller so they can have their own controller when they come over to play, though when the halo edition xbox shipped they bought an xbox and they are now upset that they feel like they got taken for a ride by Sony all this time. I even know people that have bought an xbox because of Halo2 is coming out.
Halo2 is going to be a great game no matter what the trolls say.
I find that its reported to not give any notification that it is updating the dashboard to be something that I do not like.
I havea feeling that it is "signed" which would enable it to run on the Xbox.
Netscape first - IE second
Apple Os first - windows second
Playstation2 first - Xbox second
Well I can see what you are not saying each of these 1st are in 1st place but that they came before what MS started and that they can only steal ideas that are already done and use these ideas as their own.
Well I do not think this will fly very well or for very long. I would not agree to that if I was a game maker thats for sure. WB does not pay out royalties based on reviews of its movies, but on how much it makes and the percentage that is in the contract.

I am one of those people that bought it because I just happened to see it on the shelf and liked the screen shots on the box.

Well as an Xbox can be soft modded, it can also be undone. The extra cost of a mod chip adds far more funtionality for the added cost.

I think this will be something the US gamers will like since this handheld appears to be ready to target a larger user base than previous gameboys.

Well also there is no need to spell it out since this is exactly how it is spelled for the game.
