    Did any of you play Laura Bow: The Dagger of Amon Ra? It was a game by Sierra.

    In one section, there were some hieroglyphics on the wall, as you were walking through a secret tunnel. If you sat there and translated them with the Rosetta stone you found in the game.. it said.. BUY SIERRA PRODUCTS

    At my University, it was an invisible substance that shot out -- only visible under a black light. That way the jerk that made the fire alarms go off at 3AM would not even think to scrub their hands and arms.

    TI tags can be locked. After writing, you can lock the blocks you have written to. Supposedly it is something which can not be undone.

    Who cares? By the time they learn the consequences of the weapons, the people firing them will be long dead, and new weapons will be available by then. They just have to keep the information classified long enough so that no family member can collect.

    my aunt called my mom. I decided to answer the phone. She told me to go get my mom, so I started walking outside to get her. Along the way, I started playing with rocks and bugs in the driveway, and completely forgot about my aunt.

    I finally made it over to my mom, and told her that there was a phone call for her. It was 45 minutes later, though!

    I know this has nothing to do with the mars lander, but it reminded me of something silly I did when I was a toddler.

    Does your old console simply vanish when you buy a new one?

    Being compatable with old systems is nice for handhelds (so you do not have to carry two of them) but less than necessary for home consoles.

    i've used an RFID reader on an small CE device.. you'd practically have to shove it up my ass to get it to read. The range (for large 1-2" tags) is around an inch or less.

    I can always get a metal wallet.. ;-)

    If I had lots of cash in my wallet, all with microscopic RFID tags.. you would have to have a gigantic dish pointed right at me.

    I think I would see you.

    So, unless you are on a mountain, good luck. Even on a mountain, you would pick up so many other people, and power consumption would be incredible.

    Are you suggesting that a microscopic antenna has the capability to transmit messages into space? The power consumption of the satellite would be enormous!
