See, you take one of them OSS Linux games, like one with the funny looking penguins, and you mess with the opening comment and replace the creator's name with yours. Then you mess with the credits and opening screen so that you name it 'My School Project Penguin Game' or something, instead of 'Super Tux Racer,' or whatever, and call it your own. Problem solved.
I like how he admits it has a flaw, and then goes on to say he has the perfect product. Am I the only one who sees a contradiction here? Yeah, I want to buy a handheld this guy designed.
Emulation is wrong. It hurts the industry. I mean, if everyone is downloading Skate or Die! for the Commodore 64, how will the developers make any money??
Actualy, Zelda is more just getting it all right, with the cool puzzles, and the fun combat, and the cliche storyline, where as GTA is all about doing the exact same game over and over and over, just a lot better each time, and with new missions, and stuff to do.
The original GTA was innovative, as was the original Zelda, but after that it is mostly just Refine, Milk, Repeat.
I'm not flamebaiting. I'm just saying that it is silly to try to convert gamers to Linux, when almost all the games available on Linux are also available for Windows, while not all games available on Windows are available on Linux. I am in complete agreement with you that it is a major problem, and I admit that Linux may be better than Windows, but the bottom line is compatability. If I am only interested in gaming, Windows is the only realistic platform.
If the Linux community could turn the tables, and make Linux-only games, then maybe they would have a chance.
The point of this is to convert gamers to Linux?!? Developers? Sure. Server Admins? Sure. Gamers? No way! If I am only interested in gaming, why would I switch to Linux? It can't play all the games (Or even a good amount of them) that Windows can, and, most importantly, almost all Linux games are available on Windows. When the Linux community releases their versions of Half-Life 3, or Starcraft 2, or Unreal Tourney 2004 (Not BZFlag) exclusively on Linux, hordes of gamers will go with a dual installation. Until then, Linux will never be able to compete.
Hey, I think you forgot "Windows users who recognize the superiority of Linux, but don't want to switch and give up all their favorite games and programs.
Good thing the Patriot act is here to help put an end to these terrorist hackers. First thing, they make aiming hacks, next thing you know, they might blow up a bus or something, right?
That doesn't mean that you should only target your largest audience. Women are still a huge market, even if they're not as large as men, just because the gaming industry is so huge.
Uhh... Have you ever seen a Cosmopolitan magazine? You think they would sell those if all the chicks in them weren't physically perfect super-models?
Women WANT to see nice-looking, large-breasted women. Just, you know, not the current context game designers place them in.
Girl reading Cosmo:"Hey, this fat chick gives GREAT makeup advice!"
On another, more offtopic note, who here has seen the Fragdoll's Gallery page?
See the ugly one? Me neither...
I find it hard to believe that all girl gamers are drop dead gorgeous...
What, you people can't?
Not to dis the guys who did this, but it's no Red VS Blue, if you know what I mean.
Cellmate: So, whatta you in for? Kid: Uh... Killing a guy ('s computer)...
Yeah, this kid is screwed.
See? This kid should be sentenced to a year and a half of free WoW and absolutely NO compilers!

I am in MO, and I campaigned against this guy. Lemme tell you, I have heard that joke Sooooo many time ;)

Not that I'm complaining.
No nonono... All America Online users are idiots (Or have parents who don't know the difference), but not all idiots use AOL.
Yup, everyone knows footba-Er, Peaceball players need more self-esteem... And don't even get me started on those self-conscious wrestlers...
adding additional weight to the likelyhood of a new console
Hey, Additional weight.
Damn. It would be more realistic to make you pay for the CD. What they are doing is making the people they catch pay for the people they don't.

Hey now, let's not write off those cool Jump Effects too soon, okay?
I prefer "Sound Monkey"

Okay, yeah, but what they are saying is that Indy developers are going back to 2D, and not focusing on creating rudimentary 3D graphics.

You forgot "Made by Boys."

I'm 16. Started playing when I got my first NES at 6... After that is all a blur.
See if they post any gaming groups at your local game store. And, if they don't, start one. All you have to lose is some printer ink.
It is all relative, buddy. Like how Guild Wars says you can play for FREE online!! No, I have to pay $60 to play "FREE" online.
