Very much wrong. Even wikipedia lists it in the Windows CE family because as the GP stated... it is a fancy new UI and API set. You can even link against the older Windows CE libraries and they will run on the phone. Good luck getting it in the Marketplace though.
If I was a VIA Investor... I might be a little pissed. These lawsuits cost millions of dollars with no guarantee of victory and often times they can result in your patents being invalidated. CEOs should not make decisions based on their wife's occupation... mainly because it is going to be largely emotional...
In the US around 35,000 people are killed every single year as a result of road fatalities. If the same paranoia were applied to this much larger figure, speed limits would be e.g. radically cut and there would be mandatory alcohol and drugs testing before each road journey.
I blame you when the paranoid 80% passes a law for this. asshole
If beta 2 is out then it's indicative that iOS 5 isn't too far from public release. There are enough people who aren't registered developers but who may find this interesting that it's worthwhile running.
No no no... the point of a story being on Slashdot is to encourage discussions. All this story has encouraged is for people, like me, to question why it is here. Especially when we are only a single major bug away from a beta 3 or beta 4.
You clearly are the product of a deranged imagination. Everyone knows that the intelligent population of the whole universe is zero.
FTFY
You obviously don't know the quote.
"It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination."
-- Douglas Adams (Restaurant at the End of the Universe)
Unfortunately I have not seen any security camera video of the area showing nothing happened at the same time. I was expecting one to surface, but that too has been absent.
The day we start responding to obvious hoaxes is the day the terrorists win. Seriously, why should the govt waste our money on proving that the video someone took is fake. I'm all for the search for life, but chasing down youtube videos in search of it is a huge waste of time.
Hate to break it to ya, but 1998ish... Nokia shipped more than 50% of all handsets in the US. They just really messed up in sticking to the candybar form factor when everyone in the US wanted clamshell(Motolora RAZR anyone?).
"My son is so good he got labeled a cheat" when we know there are achievement farmers who are miles ahead of this kid and didn't get labeled cheaters.
I'll bite. You obviously do not understand autism. High-level children with autism often have enhanced brain functions at the expense of others. So this kid can't really say a complete sentence very well, but he probably has a photographic memory along with the ability to endure and accomplish repetitive tasks a lot better than you or I. This just isn't some kid, this is a kid that is built to farm and do quests
rail gun... you do realize that those rails need physical contact with the projectile to fire... that causes friction... friction causes wear and tear.
Seriously, if you want a maintenance nightmare, put a railgun on the moon.
When they're able to ask for it, then it's obvious they deserve it.
This is awfully absurd. Maybe they are already asking to be let out of Seaworld and all the other cages we keep them in. Perhaps we aren't capable of understanding them? Does one simply ignore all signs of intelligence because we simply enjoy their tricks? Your suggestion in many ways is how slavery was justified by stating that the slaves were somehow an inferior animal.
Word works well for writing a novel? Why would someone want to obfuscate their writing with word presentation features? The author is selling his words, not his justification and bold'n skills.
What the troll... From your argument... humans are better off to not do anything at all. But we know that isn't possible because every action has a reaction and life doesn't exactly stand still... Way to be constructive.
Comparing the removal of rats to Cuba and the economy is an awfully big stretch.
From your argument, we shouldn't even have money. Should we still be trading with horses and wives?
Back on-topic... Yes, New York messed up. But... learning from our actions, being able to document it for later generations and improve upon it next time is what makes us different from the opossums. This is why we don't go around blowing up whale carcasses anymore.
He who controls the past controls the future... Honestly... it would really hurt the whole moderation/reply setup as you could just make someone's reply irrelevant with an edit. Slashdot moves to fast for post edits.
I finally quit, when the gov't boss installed security cameras in our work areas with a monitor on her desk, you know "To make sure we were safe".
This isn't anything to be proud of. Not only did you waste money and develop poor ethics, but the skills and growth over the year could of helped land the next great job. Not sure I would ever do this even if I had the freedom to.
Can't we just not insult Mohammed? Seems pretty easy.
Muhammed is not the point. The problem is... how can you draw a line that Muhammed is not ok while Buddha is ok. South Park made this very clear. Make no mistake, those Censored boxes on South Park were just pictures of Muhammed being a prophet. He got put in a truck and in a bear outfit as a compromise. Meanwhile, Buddha is snorting crack and Tom Cruise is being called a Fudge Packer(heheh).
If you say that it isn't ok to talk about Muhammed out of fear of retribution(terrorism) then all someone has to do is threaten violence and you compromise.
South Park paints a doom and gloom picture, but they have a very valid point.
It's called... "Know your audience". Not all people are technical. If you want Linux to be palatable... you have to use easy to figure out vocabulary. If you told someone that Meego provides libraries and daemons... they may not quite get it. You tell them that it provides the middleware... they can figure out(without being technical) that is it the nice cloud of crap that an app needs to run.
Just because a term is too generic for you doesn't mean that it is bad.

An e-reader is a lot cheaper, until you realize you can't do 99% of the things a tablet can do.

If you look at the market... you can already buy a dildo... just a matter of time.
