    i wouldn't say linux sucks, quite the contrary unix may be a viable choice in some situations but the flexability of linux is probably its greatest asset... being able to use the same distribution for your server, laptop, and desktop with various different configs is something that is quite admirable

    never been a big fan of macs but i think that an apple push to gain a significant share of the "desktop" market would be great for the whole industry.

    it would force more developers to think about things like cross platform compatibility and standards more seriously than they do now...

    all a net plus for linux/open source...
