Small IR box connected to the 30-pin connector then code to replicate a Wii Remote. Not sure if you can spoof the Bluetooth Ids so the Wii will connect. Obviously not that useful for gaming but maybe for reverse engineering, macros, keyboard?
Microsoft has been rewriting many apps in.NET Office 2007, (most of) VS2008, (all of) VS2010, Windows Media Center, and probably many others. I'd guess the small apps like the games and calc. Of course the kernel will never be and I'll bet even some of the above apps link to native code but I wonder if MS is positioning itself to be able to move to other architectures more easily.
I believe the correct accent rate is 30ft per minute. At least that is what I learned, I am certified by SSI. I am sure different certification companies have different rates.
Please mod parent up "insightful", this is my biggest problem with Apple. They are just as bad if not worse at locking out competition than MS, but for some reason they have a crapload of support.
No, Apple might do something similar but afterwards takes whatever sticks and makes it pretty, strips out any advanced features and wraps the whole thing in proprietary crap
Ya sure, maybe there is more to lose now with the internet, but we're not really going to forget more than before. There is still print news (for now) and TV news, both of which I am sure are properly archived.
Yes there is a new medium and it would be valuable to archive this, but we're not at risk of forgetting history.
That depends on what you consider performance. Yes there is some overhead, mostly memory but memory is cheap. I'd rather use more memory and have a faster and more stable browser. Then again, if Firefox fixed their memory management problems it would probably be faster and more stable.
Not sure how having the Chrome tabs and pages use different UI code makes it easier to crash. A website shouldn't ever modify the OS UI parts. The separate memory space feature isn't a killall solution but it does make it less susceptible to some exploits. Session cookies aren't shared between tabs.
So wait, you're complaining that your costs are high and you have to compete with cheaper, inferior products? What is Apple supposed to do? Figure out how to lower your cost, or raise prices and market more. Convince people that your app is worth paying a few more dollars for.
You don't even have a solution, all I hear is whining...
Yes the translation of addresses isn't a big deal but page swapping off the hard drive is the slow down. I also run x64 Vista and recently upgraded to 8GB of RAM (it's so damn cheap nowadays!). I turned off virtual memory and haven't had any problems.
I've always heard that Windows pre-caches data based on how much memory you have so I figured disabling virtual memory would prevent any hard faults and 8GB should be plenty for what I do.
BT isn't the problem, it's the internet providers offering more than they can handle. If I am capped at 5Mb/s then I should be able to use that regardless of my protocol and so should everyone else.
Internet providers, upgrade your infrastructure and stop over selling!
Yes, Flash and Java have become popular but they are still plugins. By the UK's logic, iPhones need to support all plugins as well? What about SilverLight or ? Apple provides access to entire internet just some doesn't render.:-)
You guys are both wrong, A-GPS is Assisted GPS it has a real GPS reciever but also uses the tower triangulation and an Assistance Server for computing the GPS. This makes it faster, more available (and possibly more accurate).
Memo to MS: When you give someone a cake, it only makes sense to put the RECIPIENT's name on the cake. I mean, you're recognizing the shipping of Firefox. Why didn't you put a Firefox logo on the cake? That's the object of the celebration.
But now Mozilla will blog about it and advertise for IE! Sounds like MS knows exactly what it's doing...

Oops, we accidentally severed the Middle Eastern internet cables...

You forgot the \IncludeTitle flag....
Didn't you see The Astronaut Farmer? The government won't just let you build your own rocket...
Seriously though, NASA has placed restrictions in the past and it just recently became more open.
Look at the human genome project, private sector is doing better.
Plus the private sector will always invest if there is potential profit, THAT is the beauty of capitalism. :-)

So when you write for Windows you are really just writing plugins? What makes it an application?

For html, css and javascript Google has a great reference. Shows compatibility for 8 browsers. http://code.google.com/docreader/#p=doctype&s=doctype&t=Welcome
Me too :-)

it would be Microsoft managed and it would work better
I think you forgot your sarcasm tag....

I knew we (I'm in the US) had a domestic cable network but to get over the ocean I figured we used satellites.
