  1. Re:Question.... on How To Help Our Public Schools With Technology? · · Score: 1

It all depends on the individual teacher to incorporate it into his teaching curriculum.
Someone being a computer noob, would have a hard time knowing how to implement a tool like such to get the students interested in not only computing but also what the teacher is trying to teach.

I see myself asking all my students to log on the computer and to do a search for hitler's
girlfriend's name, the one who supposedly drove him to suicide...where as the first one to be able to accomplish this will get a certificate of merit or points towards the end of the school year to trade in for some gifts.

If you think like a gamer, you will be able to get them to follow you. All games now are based on quests, giving points to then trade in for something really cool...many presents at the end help to set a pace for long term, gifts at the end of the month ...help for the short term, also it depends what level your at in terms of teaching, 5th graders are not the same as 11th graders.

Finally he gets a taste of what its like for many people in the US, and might actually do something about it. However, I think it might just be down played to a level of breach of security on the part
of Verizon, where they more so state "it was an act of vandalism, more so then a hate crime, or racially driven statement"

non profit organization, and whatever donations, are used to pay individuals, and rent however, it does not make enough money to say ....make a profit. If they go down this road, they will also have to acknowledge the lost revenues, and as such can be retro active, so if they are not careful it might actually cost them more then they could stand to make.

You think Mozilla didn't think this thing through?.... they used an already existing model, used by many non profit orgs. Just because they look successful, it does not mean, there is cash flow coming in, unless they have reason to believe there was mismanaged funds somewhere, and that would install criminal prosecution of the person doing this, not Mozilla themselves.

I can tell you as someone who has played this game AND ONLY THIS GAME for the last 1 1/2 years, I have only time for a bit of game play, and enjoy WoW too much to allow any other game to interfere....so for being so devoted to playing WoW and none other .....as well as the month after month of payments, and the fact they already have 500 billion in the bank....could they not allow each extra character after the first to go 2* as fast in xp....and the 3rd character 3* as fast, this means I could have many players
after my first lvl 70 that allows me to try diff. classes etc. All I am saying is take care (more so) of the guy that helped you get that 500 billion in the bank in the first place, and not the newly aquired accounts.....there is in the new expansion a freebie for the new comer, if they are invited to play from an existing member...they get a mount or something like that....WHAT ABOUT THE GUY WHO HAS BEEN THERE FOREVER...WHAT DO YOU GIVE HIM .... I may be ahead of the times here, but I know its not too far out before we get teleportation technology working....maybe not to the same level as in ST but we already can teleport light.
Using the teleportation technology we woudl be able to do much....reassemble all the iron into an actual iron bearing.. or better yet all the h2o into you guessed it...drinkable water.

I find the gaming industry (especially blizzard) just too successful for their own good.

The latest WoW expansion proves it....i call it "the 5 billion dollars in the bank is not enough" expansion...instills more game play...but does not make long time players level up any easier.

Certain individuals trying to get some free road time as opposed to bumper to bumper traffic will think they are ok, but it is a scheme to generate revenue through traffic violations and tickets. The cops wont know if you have been traveling with the same person for the last 3 rides etc.... so how can they come up with a legitimate reason to give you that ticket, simple ....they do anyways, it is up to you to fight that ticket, and if you lose as some do, you pay double, if you don't fight it you pay the fine.

How do you prove that day you were not with someone who you were with another day....unless you remembered to take pictures everyday before each trip?

Either way they made money, and who are you going to tell on ...the government about this scam?
They are the ones implementing this, so they can't be the ones you complain to!
There should be some sort of higher power that can step in, supreme court or something, where if too many wrongful tickets are given, fraud is slapped on the hands of that comity, department, whatever....seriously I am tired of any reason to get a ticket...short of living a life as a drone, you can't do anything anymore without getting a ticket
and giving your money over to the government.
