Anyone else noticed the McDonalds wrappers and crap we leave every day on Earth? Do we really want that on the Moon?
The human race as a whole is not ready for population of any planet which can't naturally support us. If only takes some bully to smash another kids space suit or some idiotic kids to think it's fun to throw bricks at a glass dome and we have a major emergency.
This isn't sci fi here, the stupidity involved in the human race would destroy anything we set up.

Flash is a very stylish art form, when done right it's fantastic to watch. But when it's done wrong it's like a 4 year old drawing.
As soon as people catch on to this, everyone and their dog will attempt to do these because "Hey it can get me rich!"
I have to say I don't care either way. I adore RPGs (a good 75% of my 1000+ game collection are RPGs). But I hate online RPGs, they are always full of people with the best equipment being jerks to everyone else. It's just no fun to play when you can tag along with some level 100 character who owns everything while you sit there going "...wow he's strong... I wish I had a super mega go go power rangers sword!"
sigh. People talking about Steam dying (oh it will, it's crap IMO. alot of people have problems.. I miss WON:( ). But any way, if Steam does die Valve will release a final patch for HL2 which will break the auth system so people can still play it, Valve love us monkeymen and know how much we'll adore HL2.
Only problem I see with this is people on 56k (like my 'good' self), we could be forced to DL a patch as we auth... I don't like DLing patchs which I can't automatically resume... and STEAM is exactly that.. but EVERY week... EVERY BLOOD SINGLE WEEK -.-

Lego is by far the best old toy there ever will be. Because it's a toy and not some new gimmick. How often do we see some new weapon in a FPS game and go "man that is going to rock!" and then run back to the trusty shotgun? It's the same principal. If it works don't mess with it, since lego works no one wants to mess with it.
Kids today all want to "grow up" and become "Teenagers" at 6. They won't have these toys and I don't see many people going "in my childhood we did drugs! Lets give our kid drugs".... wait maybe I do...
Either way if your kid is a druggy the bright colours will be fantastic:)

One guy ended up in hospital for over work on that game and it never saw the light of dawn let alone day.
Yet everyone whines when game X is delayed because they want it NOW!
Well maybe we should start showing these people (I'm looking at you Duke Nukem forever fans!), what people go through so we can get our 5 minutes of kicks.
what the helld o EA do any way? Last time I checked they updated the teams for the latest football/American football/Rugby/whatever game and did not much else...
I'd say "hey we should boycott EA!" but we're not the ones who buy sports games so they wouldn't even notice..
Is this the next step in the war on terror? Deny EVERYTHING you do wrong? I remember when they claimed there was WMDs, but there wasn't. I remember when they said they wanted to make the world a safer place, but it isn't! We're taking bullshit from a monkey and a big eared twat and now they want to hide as much of it as they can.
Bush needs to learn people understand war is harsh and no one wants it, but hiding what it is does no one ANY good. I don't want to see my troops or anyone elses die in a complete farse of bullying (Hey we have tech they have pitch forks and minor explosives.. do the math). But this is just stupid.
In todays world you cannot censor most things, the internet has enough loop holes and back doors for you to find anything from the latest football results to pictures of a guy with his head cut off by these kidnappers.
If we can't find it at google we'll go else where and see how "evil" google truely was all along.
Is this not just going to google bomb Suicide girls and nintendo together? If I remember correctly google also counts sites linking to them using the worlds right? If so theres going to be alot of news stories linking to both sites.... oh how fun
People are so paranoid now that they pay hundreds of pounds a year to drink "purified water" yet won't touch tap water which is the same.... There was a documentry on it here a couple of weeks back. As soon as they put a flashy logo on the tap-water bottles the guy sold out (Series was, "should I worry about").
People will drink anything they see as "cool". Call the water "Purified" or "cleaned" water and people will drink it like any other bottled water.
What about those of us who don't like CS? Single player better rock and the mod community work hard and fast or this is going to be a wasted purchase...
I love half life and all of it's add ons but cutting out multiplayer in exchange for a mod is just lame. Why not make multiplayer then release Source as a official mod like TFC?
well kept paper will last 50-100 years without a problem. CD rot etc. kicks in long before that and HDs die alot shorter too... 1 letter can be kept safe, 10 HDs replacing just for a few kbs of data seems alot of work..

It's just a way for people to exploit the desprate. If you MUST get someone a message old fashion pen and paper is MUCH better then electronic means. Plus if it's a loved one the paper will have your person writing on it and if it's been in your house a long time it'll smell of you too. Which alot of people find reminds them of good times with them.
Remember data doesn't last forever but a well kept letter will.
