  5. I can see it now... on Let the Mindgames Begin · · Score: 0

Using your mind as a controller, we will be able to see the history of video games repeated (perhaps a bit faster this time around). It starts with Pong. Soon, the mind controller will move to Pac-Man, Pitfall, Missile Command, and the other hits of the Atari. Donkey Kong, Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros., Zelda, and the Nintendo games soon follow, and the mind can now handle two "buttons" or action-thoughts. Sonic and friends give a third "button" to the early Genesis style mind controller, only to be outdone by the massive six "buttons" of Super Nintendo. Playstation then invades and gives eight button functionality with Final Fantasy VII and other great games (sorry I'm not much of a PS person). Three-dimensional games are now becoming the norm, as GoldenEye debuts on the Mindtendo 64. Full-blown realistic graphics power the new versions of the systems, as you control first person shooters like never before. Grand Theft Auto takes on a whole new meaning, as do the Zelda games. What will the next revolution be?

Perhaps he has the PC gamer's mindset because the console has never had the ability to have such mods. I play both, and while I do enjoy my GameCube and other games, I enjoy getting more out of my PC games with mods (especially free ones). Even cheaper expansion packs (as long as they're good) make me glad that I bought the original game and now I can play more. Smash Bros. is certainly a great game, and I still play it often, but wouldn't it be even better if they came out with some way to add even more characters and levels and trophies to it without buying a whole new game? I think it would be.

Actually, I had a LAN Party with Mario Kart: Double Dash. The broadband adapter worked seamlessly to connect GameCubes together. They all run on normal Cat5 equipment (hubs, routers, etc.) Except for a couple of minor things with the game itself (not being able to choose the characters and lack of Bob-omb Blast for a LAN multiplayer game), it was a blast.

Even if the PSP has more "power" than the DS, what makes it any different than having a PS2 in your hand? The DS is an innovative handheld, with (obviously) two screens, a touch screen, microphone and wireless access (both Nintendo and standard versions). Oh, right, you can play mp3s and movies on the PSP... but you need to buy the special PSP movie discs, which I don't think will sell very well.

is actually somewhat interesting. The original logo is (in my opinion) better than the one they use for the rest of the country. It's basically a naked mermaid. Now all you see in their logo is her face. The original logo is also brown, not green. I visited Seattle a few months, and personally I think they should have stuck with the old stuff (then again, it kinda makes them look like UPS).

Personally, I don't see this happening anytime soon. Every time a major version of Windows comes out, it turns into a media frenzy. I remember the news showing the first person to buy a copy of Windows 95 in the world the day it came out. This media frenzy alone keeps Microsoft on its major product release schedule (or lack thereof). However, all the OEM support could turn the subscription products into a gold mine real quickly. I don't think people would go for it though. Why pay for updates when I'm used to getting them for free?
