I have been surfing around the conspiracy-ish sites and I have found a lot of information that is availible for anyone (maybe not north korea...) with access to internet. On Indymedia.co.uk I found a comment about that the CEO Managing Director of Visor Consultants said in an radio interview (radio 5 bbc) that they had an 1,000 person strong exercise which drilled the London Underground being bombed at the exact same locations, at the exact same times, as happened in real life.

    Thats right folks!!
As if that wasn't crayzy enough, think about the fact that he actually tell us about it! (bbc radio 5 recording ).

    WHY??
    Why telling us about that??
Are we suppose to think -"wee, think of the odds of that"?? Huh??
What REALLY blows my mind is that it's NOWERE to be found in the MEDIA!!!

Is the journalists at bbc on drugs??

There is a whole lot of other strange stuff to be found on the "conspiracy" sites (whatreallyhappened.com et al), but this comes from the horses mouth!!

I didn't expect to get "stoned" for a theory I don't even support (I just said it was cool-ish, like the idea of us not coming from the apes), my only concern here is that I can't (couldn't some years ago) find anyone explaining what was wrong with the theory...except just saying "this is not how relativity works" (they were quite proude of just understand the theory, no way in hell they were going into paradoxes). Anyway the "I don't like being stoned" was kind of a joke (inhale smoke kind of thing).

To be honest I am not interested in this stuff anymore (I DID study this long time ago, but you may win the pissing contest), though it would be fun finding a site www.thisiswhatswrongwithautodynamics.org, but instead I find people getting really touchy when this subject is up, I wouldn't be getting this kind of heat if I thought the idea with the earth being flat was cool...

I don't understand why ppl turn so defensive... I just thought the "redicule and intimidation" (and agressive tones in general) was strange... I just don't get it. I suppose it's a good thing to be passionate...

    >>Your issue is that you seem to want to question without being questioned in returned.

    I may have been unclear...

I didn't question anything, even if I had, I wouldn't mind beeing questioned. There is a big difference in "being questioned" and rediculed and intimidated...

I had a discussion with a "creationist" some time ago, and there was no way in hell (eh...) to get to any kind of agreement. He made references to studies/papers made by other creationists, I could only respond with referenses by people not being creationists, hence we threw "facts/references" at each other, and hadn't I given up, I would still be wasting my time doing it.

Note, his "facts" was as clear and natural to him as our "facts" are to us.. The main difference (in my opinion) is that his views are static while mine isn't... I really tried to take his view on things, but I just couldn't make any sense of it.

My point is: Try to be open (peace love and all that).

The European/Indian company which CAN use the tool (lets pretend it's the best one for the job) will make money (As will the company making the software). As I see it, if the rest of the world refuse to play by US-patent rules, US will suffer.

One solution for a US-based company is ofcourse to create a company outside US (ring a bell?) and outsorce. The (say) Indian company does the job, and THEY use the software and, hey presto, no problema!! AND it's cheap labour. US becomes one net importer which only consumes things (hey...wait a little...isn't ..) and when everybody has sucked the last life of the greenback, they'll drop it and find some other bigass market (hmm...now, what is the Chinese stands on US patents?).

Face it, in the beginning people was exited over the possibility of running "cool apps" on their phones...well some years down the line and most people learned that the chances of some "cool app/game" working on their device is slim, you have to d/l the app/game version for that particular device...

Having been close to j2me developers, I can tell you they HATE sun..see, to much of the api is "up to the implementation" , so the "write once run everywhere" is a sad joke... And people has realized that...none is going into a store and ask "is this midp 2.0?? does it have sockets, more than one?? server sockets, does it support jsrxxx?....

Head over to the j2me.org forum and you will see (apart from the same newbie questions over and over again) questions like "I would like to do this, and then the user can do this, then the software do zat, how do I do it?" to which an answer is posted - "it depends on which device you are using, but for the most part....nope..can't be done"..

To be honest I made some developing myself, but soon got fed up with it and moved over to Symbian, which limits the number of potential custormers - the device has to be a "smartphone"... but then again, doing it in midp x.x also limits the number of targeted devices... Oh, and I tell you, once you got your app through QA, some bug shows up, which you fix..and everything is dandy until you realize that you broke the builds for some devices you scream about bugs in the kvm, read the affected javadoc and realize that it is possible to interpret the api in great many ways and often it's "up to the implemntator"...
