Change hardware to software, and I will agree you. The only thing they really need is more hardcore games (metroid was a good start, but bring on the cross plaform FP shooters, Western RPGs, hardcore racing games. Till those segments start to fill out, I will stick to my Xbox one and 300 or so games I have not played yet. the Wii has more than enough muscle to do that....and can be even better than other current gen consoles, based on what I have seen of Metroid Prime (WOW!)
I agree with everything you said, but I still feel it is a little early to count the PS3 out. If you look at the sales based from start date, the PS3 is doing the same numbers as the XB360. Only the Wii is killing... This Xmas/early spring will really tell the tale.

I'm still liking the XB360 as I've enjoyed my original XBOX so very much. I plan on getting one after the die shrink and when it is cheaper...
Too further parent comment, If Valve is like most large corporations, they might be putting the update in escrow with explicit instructions to release under X circumstance?
Parent posters Dan and Rev... I agree too. But I do think the wii can have some good hardcore games. Afterall, we are talking about a system that is twice as powerful as the system that brought us Metroid Prime.
I feel the real problem is the Wii will lose on the cross platform staples. Games like Burnout were pretty much the same on all previous gen systems, but now, with the hardware disparity, Wii is the odd console out, since it can't match the muscle.
I do hope above all else that the UBIs and EAs try though. I really enjoyed, for example, Prince of Persia on the cube.
Plenty of great single player games for the gamecube that are playable on the wii. Try metroid prime 1 or 2 to start with. I have a gamecube, but I haven`t touched it since I modded my Xbox. With all the games I have now, at a menu selection away, I think I`ll just skip the xb360:PS3:WII generation, since I now have more gaming than I could possibly finish in the next 5 years (So many nice FPS, Action RPG, Racing games for the xbox). I`m set...
Thanks for your post. I found it much more interesting than the original article. I don't agree with some of your choices, but still, a great critique.
Um it is called an example. In his example, he is contrasting the two people with one "doing it for some higher power and all that entails" and another simply doing something altruistically. Anything you add makes it your example. Not his.
I'm still stuck at the top of the building. WTF are you supposed to do now? Help me INTERNETS!
a fairly recent Canadian movies called Cube (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cube_Movie). Granted, there is more than one prisoner....but check it out...

That Big blue wasn't design to beat a Grand Master. It was design to beat Kasparov
Yep, sorry!

If you align the launches of the next gen systems, the PS3 is doing just as well as the xbox360. http://www.vgchartz.com/hwcomps.php?cons1=Wii®1 =All&cons2=PS3®2=All&cons3=X360®3=All&align= 1
Wii is this gen's PS2 from the looks of it...
on standard DVD media...
Not that it needs it....

That looks like our costco here in Kitchener Ontario, execept the PS3s are to the left of the XB360.

Script of Starwars before Marsha got to it.... http://www.godamongdirectors.com/scripts/swd1.shtm l
Hey, obvious direction called. It wants its....oh forget it....
I agree. MS can subsidize a money losing console forever. Thankyou for the XBMC platform and the 400 free games!
What is this "Dungeons" game you speak of? Gauntlet? Baldurs Gate?
He's right.
You're inferring that from his comment? I'm not going to imply that you're the petty one...
Fine. You're not my friend anymore...
