1) Get a box with some metal contacts on the outside 2) Claim it can store a gajillion gigabytes of data. Don't mention that it cannot be read again. 3) Profit!!!
Well, anybody with a computer could download the episodes, like anybody with a TV can watch TV now. So logically you should make everyone with a computer pay a TV license.
2/3 of the ~3,000,000 (iirc) houses that were visited by Centrica (the company that enforces the TV licensing law) managed to fox the system by simply not answering their doors.

If you have any problems with the apple firmware, linux-on-ipod is the place for fixing that.
Also, another aim is to encourage people to look into their 'closed platforms'.
I like BitTorrent because you can start a torrent, it runs at 50-100% of http speeds, and finishes quickly. I don't like other p2p apps, because downloads take ages to start, and when they do they go slowly, even for popular files (maybe because of my router, but the point remains). So, I start up eXeem (with wine). I try to download remove_cydoor_from_exeem.exe. I wait. I wait some more. Has the download started? No.
Using 4.2 over 4.0, I have noticed no speed difference during normal use, although #xfce say that it should be faster.
However, it is _much_ (several times) slower to load (they have a splash engine now). However, I don't do this very often, so that doesn't really matter.
Maybe someone else has said/thought this, but if he drapes a black sheet over the camera and stand (like school photographers do) then he will see the reflection better - unless he wants to see the camera.
One thing to say about SP2 - if I click a link, if means I want to download the file. If I double click an executable, it means I want to run it. I do not need to be asked.
Apparently, parent doesn't read comments before posting, or you would know that in fact, Windows Firefox has Tools -> Options (like MSIE) and Linux (and maybe more) Firefox has Edit -> Preferences.
I need something like this - buying something from thinkgeek would double the cost for me (living the the UK). I think this is very worthy news - much more than some product announcements that appear, and probably woulddn't have found out about the site if it wasn't for this article.
As long as you don't agree to their EULA when you first boot it up, you can apply to MS for a refund. I saw a guide on what to do somewhere, I can't remember off the top of my head where though - try google.
...if the people with sticker covered USB flash drives around their neck know about how close USB is to being DRMed by MS? Maybe if they did they might care?
You say that, but none of them are actually great. If I want computing goodness, I go to Linux. If I want girls, I go somewhere else. Everyone knows the two don't mix too well. Frankly, if you're basing your OS choice on the looks of the girls who champion it, your clearly more than a little undesirable.

How do you know if they have a TV license?

There's no need to personify Linux... Yeah it rocks, but it's just a kernel!

Not impressed.
Yes. Settings Manager -> Window Manager -> Focus -> Automatically give focus to newly created windows is what I believe you are looking for.

If your business is failing, get your kid to release a virus - worked a charm with Sasser :P
First off, I'd have a look at their code and see if they'd taken anything from me...

The name suggests that it will do little to fill the void in objective reporting...
