Labels. I use labels for all my mail and it is sort of like arranging things into folders, but you can have the same message available in two different folders without having to copy it. For example a message could be both "Important" and "Work" labeled or something.
I tend to walk everywhere now, but when I was cycling I used to always listen to a minidisc/MP3 player until I moved to Edinburgh. And almost got run over on several occasions. I can't cycle or drive with loud music in heavy traffic- it scares the hell out of me being unable to hear where traffic is.
Of course in saying that I spent 12 days in hospital with liver damage after a mountain biking accident when I wasn't listening to an MP3 player, so it goes both ways.
I was really interested in typewriters until i saw a computer. I thought it was brilliant how i could change the text without making black ugly marks on the paper or having to start over... never actually had a typewriter but i was fascinated by how it worked. I wish i had the time now to look into how computers operated at a very basic level...
The tetrahedron (4 sides total) is much easier than the cube. My sister has threatened to take all the stickers off the thing but I showed her how to solve it and now she is liking the cube a bit. I can't solve the cube either but i can get 2 'layers' done. If I could get the corners on the bottom correct I'm sure icould manage,
I refuse any help on the cube matter.
So now we will have research into explosives that not only have no smell, but no photoluminescence(sp?) as well? Now that we know it is possible to detect them like this it only makes sense...
It is already possible to make very low cost PC's- any lower and manufacturers would make heavy losses, aren't there programs to send lots of the old hardware away to these countries instead of filling up landfills and recycling plants with it?
Another reason pirating happens is often the price of the software itself- how will cheaper hardware affect software prices?

I have just spent this night playing Xbox with my flatmate. It's brilliant, aided by alcohol it becomes more so. We decided to do co-op on legendary, and take a shot every time we died- enough for a shot every couple of minutes we thought.
Well it ended up being a shot every 10 or so the first hour... every 5 or so the second and then we started to get too drunk to play and he went to bed and I came here. This is getting modded Offtopic isn't it?
Anyway, it's nice to be able to sit down and just play and cuss at the screen with it on a night in. This will be a drinking game we play more often now I think.
I think it's a reflection of the rampant consumerism present in the western world. People like to hear about new things so they can go spend their money on something other than food&drink and transport.
I think that's the one where he eats the misprepared pufferfish, and as Hibbert outlines the stages of dealing with the fact you're going to die, Homer goes through each one.
What about the 8008135's? ;-)

Danger: Do not eat iPod souffle.
33% of 200 isn't 33 mate. It's 66...
;-)
450/134=3.36
I won't quote you though.
Unless he's talking about his hand... :-P

Statistically, 3.21% of slashdotters will reply to this story with a similar comment. How sad... ;-)
+5 Funny, nice one!
The difference between 1 in 100000 and 1 in 50000 appears huge to the average person...

I wouldn't be putting my arms out to break my fall... that's a sure route to breaking them. Duck and roll, my friend. Way safer.
The series is great... Right up to the end of series 7, then it gets a bit rubbish. Having O'Neill in charge of the SGC is just wrong...
This may seem like a stupid question but: Why are some of the names underlined?
*SLAP*
It was a joke, dude. It's funny, laugh...
Strange... My granny's cube aleways had the yellow face pop off. Are you saying my aunts and my dad cheated at completing the original cube? ;P

They're just not turned on by default last time i checked. You can turn the rich text editing on in a little 'Tools' menu at the top of the email.

Hey, at least the students won't have to go around tripping each other's connections...
