Software on their routers examines each packet going across the network, and if it looks like one from bittorrent, it'll be throttled accordingly.
Encryption exists to beat this.
No it doesn't.http://lois.justice.gc.ca/en/Charter/index .html is the document in full.
Nowhere in there is anything about copyright mentioned. Or fair use. Or MP3s.
If you can't just point out the relevant section you're nothing more than a troll.
There is no way I can see JMRI losing, if the American court system has any integrity left at all.
You can't get much more blatantly violating copyright than this.
Its outrageous.
Of course the name matters. Simple, short, and memorable names are good.
The Gimp is all of those, however, it has other meanings.
Recently, when I submitted my wishlist of software to be installed on my new workstation, The GIMP didn't make the list, just because of the name.
Writing a trojan is just as easy in linux.
I myself wrote one (Really, a remote access script) in perl. It took the greater part of 5 minutes, and its done in perl. I could easily stick it into any of many perl scripts that you get from the ubuntu repositories automatically. If I was targetting you specifically, I could break into your net connection upstream and mess with some DNS requests, or one of many other methods.
Depends how locked down said public computer is. If you can run software off a USB thumbdrive, or from some form of storage, even if you can't install, check out Torpark: http://www.torrify.com/
It doesn't allow you to download most stuff from microsoft, excluding critical patches. It also nags you every 5 minutes and on each startup and shutdown.
I personally know somebody who runs non-genuine software which is the only expierence I have with it. It worked fine on both of my XP computers.
Some sony players that will only play their proprietary format, and probably a few more.

Just recently I picked up a corsair flash voyager. Its 2gb, with a 4gb available too I think.
I also own a jump drive sport, and I can say that the rubber piece is not worth it. It gets streched every time you take the thumbdrive out, and after about 2 months it no longer holds the drive at all.
the corsair has the rubberized body that is very durable, but the cap on the end tends to fall off. I attached it with a piece of wire, which solved that problem.
The WRT56GS are fine, as long as you get the earlier versions - same as the 54Gs.
The WRT54GL are out now, and support alternate firmware. I pay the price for those routers, simply because i'm guaranteed to get what I want. Not to mention the hardware is better than the V5 and 6 of the "regular" wrt54g.
Staples even let me go on the internet to check that I was getting a correct version -- serial number tables are available in a few places online.
I'm going to be sticking with 802.11g for at least the next 4 years.
It would not surprise me if these tapes have been in some very rich person's "personal museum" for the last several years, the result of a quiet and large payoff to someone that had access to the archives. Things like this don't just "disappear," they "grow legs."
Uh oh! Don't look under my desk!/me starts digging secret backyard hole to keep tapes in
I can see why microsoft would want to stop people. It is probably an attempt to stop malware. However, I think there should be a way for this security software to exist, other than resorting to "black hat" techniques.
I would say this could be described as Microsoft shooting itself in the foot. Trying to stop rootkits is good and everything, but not in a way that blocks my antivirus from protecting me.
I'll give you an example how it would be used in a bittorrent style network application:
I am peer 1. I have section 4 of "the file". In current bittorrent, I upload this file to peer 2. However, peers 3, 7, 24, 23, and 15 need that chunk too. With multicast, I can send the file to all of them at once.
Sure, it has to be at the same time. There may be times when a portion of a file is sent to only 1 user. But with significantly large peer swarms, it is useful.
It seems like everybody is using the website now. I can understand that people want to host their own content.
Why then, are movies using myspace? Talladega nights advertises its offical url as http://myspace.com/rickybobby. Why? Why not just have a regular website? Or is there something i'm missing?
You're going about this the wrong way. You may forget to run a program as a lesser user, and I have limited faith in the sysinternals app from having things "break out" and run as the regular user.
What you should be doing is running select applications that need more priveledges as super user, and be logged in as a limited user.
This is how almost all linux/non-windows operating systems are set up.
It adds both of them. I just talked to one of the messenger team members and what they do is that the messages will get sent to both, so if you have MSN and yahoo signed in, you'll recieve dupe messages on both clients.
In order to use the new MSN-Yahoo interop, the MSN client must be using version 14 of the protocol (MSNP14). This is considerably different from previous versions, and has not yet been implemented by any third party client, although I'm sure there are some people very hard at work getting the new protocol reverse engineered.
This was on the discovery channel and is being played every other day it seems.
There was some very interesting things said about Superman's powers; things I didn't even think about, like how hard it would be for him to control his power, and that he should end up bouncing around like we do on the moon.
Lois would have more pain because of the speed superman would have to be moving sideways and up to fly in and catch her. If he did it right by accellerating to her speed then slowly decelerating her it could be done though.
I don't complain about the number of idiots in the neowin forum on slashdot, or the number of people completely disconnected from reality on slashdot who think DRM is the most pressing political issue on neowin.
H320 was 20GB. Hence the "20" in the title. the H340 was their 40GB model, and is harder to find. They are on ebay still. One of the best around.

I don't see the attraction of myspace.

Seriously, why do we care?

Why should you complain about digg on slashdot?
1 copy Super Smash Bros. Brawl 1 Bigass Leather Couch 4 Wii-motes 1 Wii 1 Big-sized Television. Now that's a party.
But the Nintendo Wii will use standard SD cards (others too?). Reducing markup everywhere =)
Hills of beans are very useful for programming Linux device drivers. Since you'll likely never get paid for doing it, you need to get food somehow.
If you were to use cygwin, you could use the best (tm) console client for msn -- tmsnc. Google it.
No.
