Alot of WoW's code trusts the client, including things like positioning and checking whether you're allowed to cast spell X or not when you mash the button each time.
The people you buy gold form online had to get it from somewhere. Usually that somewhere comes from selling obscene amounts of items far below market value, making it all but impossible for honest players trying to make a few silver here and there to sell anything. Buying gold from then a) Keeps them in buisness b) Screws with the game economy even more, and c) is against most, if not all EULA's
I'm going to have to disagree with your defenition of Nintendo Fanboys.
While I'm sure there are a large number of 13 year old, l33t sp34k, graphics = good game out there rooting for nintendo, It seems to me that most of the people who hate nothing but flashy graphics with no content are the ones rooting for Nintendo to put some creativity back into video games. All the forum trolling 13 year olds have their Xbox 360's and like playing NFL 2004/5/6.
I completely agree. Arcades still beat out the home in unusual hardware. Most people cant put a skiball machine, or an airhockey table, or a Light gun game in their home. It's just not feasable. These odd games still draw crowds. I still go to the arcade to play DDR becuase the arcade pads are infinitely better than anything I can get at home for under $100, and even the higher end pad's dont have the same feel to them...
Arcades need to capitalize on their floor space advantage over houses. There are some massive games (like horse racing and mech simulators) that can only be housed in an arcade. Put them at a decent price and keep them in good condition, and people will play 'em.
The controllers used to play them to be confusing and difficult
A, B, L, R, Z, a D-Pad, and 2 analog sticks. I'm not sure how the level of difficulty can go down without sacrificing usability...
The article also mentioned something about a lawsuit, and that synthetic diamonds are not legally allowed to be called just 'Diamonds'. I think they settled for 'Special Diamonds' or something like that.
Those were the 4 games with competitions attached. You can bet people were playing just about every multiplayer game out there at some point or another.
This is not to say that Zelda and Mario are the only upcoming games, but almost everyone -- gamer and non-gamer alike -- Recognizes those names, so Nintendo would be stupid not to use them wherever they can. The key word is 'include'.
I believe that Cryptic has been looking at character designs as well. In their Terms of Agreement, they say that it is illegal to make characters based off of Marvel or other comic book characters, and that these characters will be deleted when found. So, no worries for Cryptic. Marvel is just trying to get them to lose players for their own MMORPG
No, there are no premade character types. The character generator is very powerful and it's really easy to make characters that look like Marvel characters.
To me, and I think most, Stats are useful just as a cool little thing to look at. It's always fun to try and beat everone else at a particular statistic, but outside of that, I don't see much point for stats except as something to look at.

"Before they judge, they should see the film, that's the first thing. Second, they should really try to compare it fairly, and not based on my name.
Ok, I saw Alone In The Dark. It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Happy now?

Whats so exciting about finding a Flight Path?
Because all successful games need lots of violence, right?
Who wants to bet the Revolution will be cheaper than both of them... again.

Wouldn't the Katamari pick up my stylus when it got too big?
...It's being pushed back farther.
Bone's time has passed. It was popular 10 years ago. So were Star Wars and The Matrix. Ok, bad examples.
