Except Tron was a movie first and a video game later. It did not have to live up to anybody's expectations. It was a blank slate. Millions of people have played the Warcraft Series and many of them have something different that they really love, that probably wont be captured in the live-action movie version.
The style of Warcraft, and all other Blizzard games, is a big thing for me. The opening cinematic for World of Warcraft is damn near to photo-realistic and still captures their over-the-top style. I'm sure that there will be plenty of CGI orcs, trolls, etc. in the movie, so why not go all out and really wow us by giving the fans what we've wanted for years?
I hope they still make a great movie despite their choices, and that this wont just be a quick cash-in.
I know where you can get images of children so young, that they haven't even been concieved yet! And it's all perfectly leagal too! A man and woman get it on with the potenial for a child between them! And who knows what the future will bring? This hot, nasty business could turn out to be an orgy of thousands of children!
Well since the primary audience is one that speaks in a "normal conversation" style, that is what media is most likely taylored to. You might not pick up all the subtleties that you would if your only exposure was to over-dramatic dialogues.
I was reading what was actually in the Elder Scroll: IV collector's edition box. Basically what you get is a big fat 100-page manual. I remember when those came standard with PC games. Baldur's Gate, Fallout, and even non RPG titles, like Homeworld, all had thick, interesting manuals to read. That's how you could tell what the good games were. If I couldn't decide between two titles in the store, I would go by the heavier box. Today's games really cheap out on the extras. I bought the regular edition of Oblivion for the PC, it didn't even come in a jewel case.
Nietzsche coined the term "Übermensch", which translates to "Overman" not "Superman". I'm pretty sure no Nazi every used the english word "Superman" either.
I too thought of the exact same thing when I was reading the summary. About half way through I figured I would make a post about that movie, but my dreams were dashed when I got to the end and actually clicked on one of the links.
Did anyone else notice how big the ass of that crewman was in the ready room demo pic at the bottom? I'd hate to see female characters forced into the same stereotype that all MMORPGS seem to be doing. I wouldn't be surprised if they change the female Starfleet uniform to a string bikini.
The game had great atmosphere. The lush jungle environments felt straight out of the Predator movie. The AI was so great that it felt like you were being hunted. Boll wont be able to capture any of that. I predict Uwe and I will end up with a far cry from the game.
Did anybody else catch House of the Dead 2 on the Sci-Fi Channel last saturday? Now, I only saw the first 15 minutes of HotD2, but those few minutes were funny and exciting, everything that House of the Dead was not. If you want hard, scientific proof, check the IMDB user rating. HotD got got 2.1 out of 10 stars, while HotD2 got 4 out of 10 stars. It was almost twice as good, but, according to the Uwe Boll interview, he states each of his movies are ten times better than the last one. So if he made House of the Dead 2, it would have earned 21 stars out of 10! Now that would have been an awesome movie!

Its like charging 8 bucks for a box of girl scout cookies then complaining that they are low budget cookies that shouldn't have been made.
Are you saying you don't like Thin Mints or something?
That seems like a lot of work for a player who wants to play a whole season using realworld teams. He has to create all the teams in the league, make them balanced, while also taking into account their real world stats. Most sports fans would just make their favorite team really really good and all the others suck, but that would just make a really easy game, which gets boring quickly.
If only my Spellbound plug-in would work again. Now howe will aye bee able two correct my pore spelling?
Now if only there was a plug-in for the correction of misused homonyms.
So that's where all those Double U.M.D.s went.
(If you don't get it, say it out loud a few times.)
I like to think that there is a difference between making a movie because you truly believe in it, and milking something for all that it is worth.
We can't leave out Marlon Wayans. He would make the perfect human rogue.

Yeah. As soon as they become the least bit successful, they turn their backs on their own kind and go find themselves a white bear.

Do you even play WoW? I found many seemingly slight things funny about this new race.

Utah Votes 'No' to Darwin's Critics! Dum dum dum, dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum, dum dum dum, dum dum dum dum dumb.
What? No body else watches South Park?
The next generation only refers to graphics. All that extra processing power and hard drive space is only there to make the games look more fun.
Does solitaire count as a video game?

Doesn't Miscrosoft already dominate the PC gaming market?

Sounds more like a glitch in the holodeck.
Nerdom extends beyond the realm of computers.
