The funny thing is that Cutco knives are actually pretty decent quality from what I've seen of them. They aren't the best, but they are better than the average set of knives you'd by at Wal*Mart. I'm not sure why they have to resort to such weird methods of selling them, since I think the product is decent enough to sell the way anyone else sells knives.

My opinion is that Tales of Symphonia is probably the best console RPG that has come out stateside during "this generation." Final Fantasy is simply not what it used to be. No matter how awesome the graphics, CG cinematics, etc. are, the newer FF games simply aren't as fun to play as 4-6.

World of Warcraft is simply the most popular MMORPG right now. This same article could have been written about Everquest 1 a few years ago.

EQ arguably sucked even more time than WoW, and other PC games were still sold. There are many gamers who don't like the MMO thing and will continue to buy other games and consoles.

Eventually, someone will make a WoW-killer in the MMORPG arena. It may take a few years, but it'll happen.

Hmn. Actually, I believe that you may be right. I thought I recalled seeing an article claiming it may be delayed, but I can't recall the source now.

At any rate, I do know that Microsoft is planning on backporting Avalon to XP and Server 2003, so even if I'm wrong and it comes out on time, it will also be available to XP users, which makes the upgrade to Longhorn less necessary.

So, of the major features that were originally supposed to be the selling point in Longhorn...

WinFS pretty much seems indefinately stalled.

Avalon seems to be delayed until after release.

The new shell will not be available until the Server release.

But the crippling DRM feature that requires me to have an MPAA approved monitor to get "premium" video quality is right on schedule.

There are certainly shortcomings in CSS, in my opinion, but CSS does a pretty good job when the browser supports it properly. Opera and Mozilla/Firefox currently seem to do an excellent job of supporting CSS.

The only reason Microsoft doesn't support CSS properly is that they don't OWN it. MSIE supporting CSS properly would be a massive step towards web interoperability, which is definately against what MS wants.
