GMT is not subject to daylight saving time. Daylight saving time, or BST, is GMT + 1. BST is defined relative to GMT. GB and Ireland are currently using BST as it's summer (not GMT, but GMT + 1). In the winter they'll use GMT. GMT is the same as UTC.
I've noticed it uses more and more memory, until it decides to free it again. You also get occasional lag spikes. I just assumed it was Java's garbage collection. I'm not sure if there's anyway you can get Java to collect garbage regularly. Games that require a steady framerate would benefit from a small amount of resource management each frame, rather than a large amount irregularly.
About ten thousand years is not what I'd call a few years. We've been genetically modifying crops from about the beginning of civilization. It's only the methods we use that have changed. Toxins are a product of our farming techniques. Using crops more resistent to the pesticides, then spraying more of it, or using more powerful pesticides. Using inferior technology is not going to solve the root cause of this. We need to look at the way we farm, not champion a bunch of ignorant luddites.
Unless the JVM has been extended recently, then all of its primitive integer types are signed two's complement. When C is compiled into Java bytecode then its unsigned integers will be implemented using signed integer types for the JVM!
The problem with introducing fake error messages, is that they cause confusion with real error messages. Now you'll potentially have legitimate customers wondering what's wrong with their graphics card or drivers, when it's the DRM that's at fault. And DRM is often not reliable, and will typically assume a copy is invalid, if it fails to validate a game.
Your question is premature. Applications mostly come after we've worked out something's nature. Historically, for Physics, the answer is yes, and most of the world's economy will be based on it.
To be fair, they'd be free to walk (or float) out at any time on a real mission to Mars. They might be more disinclined to do it on a real mission though...
I touchtype and largely agree. However, every now and again it's nice to be able to punch in code fluidly. It means I spend more time thinking about what I'm coding. It probably doesn't matter much professionally: The productivity gains are marginal. But if, like me, you enjoy coding, being able to touchtype makes coding more of a pleasure.
I am also pretty sure that a soul doesn't exist, because I am aware of the fact that everybody is a physical being and his/her actions are a result of deterministic processes
If they are physical they'll be subject to quantum mechanical processes, which are, in part, non-deterministic.
If we were to find geometric objects they'd have to be either very large, or very close. We see virtually all stars with no greater resolution than a single pixel for example. And most planets as variations in the color or brightness of that single pixel.
The metal machines leave less of a mess? No stray radio signals. Compressed messages indistinguishable (by us) from noise. I'd think the only way to spot them would be an unusual heat emission.
You can largely fix D by blacklisting the server, or simply finding servers you do like and adding them to your favourites. As a bonus you'll probably avoid a lot of the people in A. Personally I take the accusations of hacking as a compliment. Abuse is easy to fix: disable all chat.

I hope they take the Google Earth flight sim and give that some love. Release it as a standalone product.

I'd imagine that Google will be the third party that allows the two peers to negotiate their p2p connection.

var newObj = myObj.copy()?
Isn't that just short for Pakistani?

If we beat light speed, I think we'll be having too much "fun" travelling backwards in time.
It certainly does. It's always illuminating half of our planet at any one time.

When they'll remain loyal and pay more than enough to compensate for the ones that leave.

I'd suggest that anything inobservable doesn't exist by definition.
Only if you're a fermion.
Buddhist temples are often marked on Japanese maps with a swastika.
Ability or desire to follow orders <> intelligence
As ably demonstrated by the Military.

Prison is supposed to be a loss of freedom, not a loss of basic human rights.
Liberty is a basic human right.
When the "corporation" takes all the risk, what is to stop individuals from persisting?
Isn't that the purpose of the company? To move individual responsibility to an abstract legal entity.
