I've no idea whether to mod you funny or insightful so I'll comment instead. I picked up a copy of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome a couple of years ago and I'm still getting the hang of the controls.
Personally I thought reading either sets of comments hurt more than... more than.. more than the cut scenes from Unreal 2.
Sorry, I have to take that back, it was unfair...
Smartest "troll" comment I've seen for a while. I agree pretty much wholeheartedly. Bitching about cut-scenes eating into the gametime is akin to bitching about story-progression eating into an action film. Or, for another take, it reinforces my view that all cut-scenes should be skippable. You want interaction? Hit that space/escape key, bitch...
Doesn't matter whether he's working with puppets, cartoons or people because if his past work is anything to go on there will be a strong visual style and a bucketload of sly humour. Only thing better than this would be a Samurai Jack live action flick.
Possibly not exactly what you're looking for but have you tried Etherlords1/2 (fantasy) or Silent Storm (WW II)? Both older games and nothing like HOMM but both turn based. Etherlords particularly may put you off but try the demo and you may be surprised.
More like HOMM there's the Disciples series but you've probably already played those.
I've used mice and keyboards for about 20 years (mouse since the ST and Keyboard since long before that) but I got a mouse in work that required a thumb/little finger pinch grip to use and suddenly (well, after about 2 years) BAM I can't use a mouse anymore without my hand going numb. I have a vertical mouse I can use all I want but within seconds of using a normal mouse my fingers start tingling. Typing is still fine but I've always used decent keyboards and typing posture anyway.
On the whole I'd rather watch non-location-specific ads. Way more interesting. Sure I'll download your classic TV show if it means I get to watch some Japanese commercials...
C:\Documents and Settings\George W Bush\Local Settings\Temp\plugtmp-3
They're saved as access-n files. Adding a.mp3 turns them into playable files. Bad form to do so though.
Nice license agreement....
"By playing this game, I promise I will spend a little less time working every day and a little more time playing games and listening to music."
I see a problem here. I understand that not everyone buying a PC or peripheral wants or needs the software bundled with it. However if you have option (a) the bare hardware and option (b) the hardware plus software what software vendor is going to want to see his product priced at the actual cost to the OEM bundling it with his hardware. If I can buy a PC for $400 or a PC with XP Home for $430 - now people are going to be asking (more than usual) why MS wants them to pay $99 for XP Home at retail. Revealing the actual value of bundled software would reduce the perceived value of the full price software. IMO. This is more likely to result in a loss of value to consumers as bundled software disappears or is priced at a level the software producer feels comfortable with.
Hardware has reasonably fixed costs but software is more amenable to price variation - if I sell an extra 1000 copies at a 1/10 of retail, sort of off the radar bundled with a printer or camera, it's not costing more than the duplication costs but if people start assuming my software is only worth a tenth of what I want for it I have a big problem. Perception counts for a lot.
Actually if you start encryping your internet activities you're plainly flagging yourself as a potential criminal/terrorist. Makes the Man's job all the easier. Might as well hang a "I'm a pinko" sign around your neck.
Good luck persuading your wife/girlfriend to let you take up a whole wall with a TV screen. With women it's true - size doesn't matter but it had better fit with the general decor...
I know eff all about computer security over and above what I need to lock down my own computers - and I have no doubt I could do a better job of that. I really think fiction is one of the best ways to teach while you entertain. Despite myself I have picked up a large amount of history from reading the Richard Sharpe novels by Bernard Cornwall.
It's Japan.
A bit sad really - the message I got is that we're never going to retire from the daily grind of paid employment, we're just going to get strapped into increasingly more powerful waldos until our bodies finally give up and they've no choice but to spoon our brain straight into some robot's noggin.
Isn't part of the problem that these guys already have their people working at various levels in the industry so they can get their hands on pre-release games? Images of foxes being told to clean out the chicken coop spring to mind.
I agree with you though that jail isn't really the answer though I'm not sure what the question really is.

But that F word is frakk.
French fries > french cuisine? Wrong.

2 loving parents > 2 parents, regardless of gender.

Although I haven't read it, Joss Whedon wrote or co-wrote a comic book called Fray.
Real person involved with computers. Shocking.

Even if you didn't buy it at Walmart you could get your money back there.

Um, though your demo did crash my PC. You can't get more old school than that.

Or should that be WHEN? It's not like this will be the last Sony DRM abuse story we see.

Sure there's porn and piracy on the Web but there's probably a downside too.

"necessary evil" is still EVIL.
