  1. Any year long as you can find the games you love! on The Ten Greatest Years in Gaming · · Score: 1

My mind wrapped around Qbert with Nintendo, I loved Pacman, and Donky Kong. I played Sonic on the Sega, and afew others. On PS1 I had the tekken, need for speed, tony hawk, all those. On PC I fell hard for Unreal, its just good to shoot stuff sometimes, right? Now Im still stuck on Counter Strike Condition Zero & Call of Duty 2. On the PS2 we already beat Champions Return to Arms (nice on a 60" tv), the tekkens and afew others. It doesnt matter the year, if you can find the games you dig the most, its all good. :)

Thats like the easiest thing to say here. Seems like people are lying all around. I cant really say that I am surprised, its been sometime since I have read about some perv online taking advantage of someone, but this case is all fubar. Honestly, WOW! Where was the mother? Right now, I am with child, my second, so come Oct. I will have one 4 year old son, and one newborn little girl. Where was this girls mother, or father for that matter? In this household, the parents are both geeks, maybe that will help to make sure our children will not have something like this happen to them. We will monitor their every move online *muhaha* Seriously though, Myspace isnt at fault, thats just like saying O Snap! I logged onto YIM and some perv messaged me, and now hes stalking me b/c I was stupid enough to give him my phone/address/etc. I have yet to see the word NAIVE come into play. Doesn't anyone here remember being 14, you might have been mature, but not about everything. I guess I will be the first to admit such a fault. When I was 14, I had a curfew, what about this girl....maybe she met him during daylight hours, but seriously, you cant be that NAIVE to not tell when someone is *tons* older than you. Im really upset when I see shit like this go down, where are the parents, Im not that old as it is, so I cant say my time was 'back in the day', but DAMN, back in my day, parents were abit more responsible for their children. We had curfews, and we had that thing that says 'You tell me where you are going AT ALL TIMES', maybe this girls mother was a crackhead, that might explain abit, but 30mil isnt worth your own stupidity for doing something that dumb, your parents neglect since they *seem* to know nothing about whats going on in your life until something like this happens, and it sure isnt worth the news its getting. It bothers me even more than yet again, Americans are labeled as sue-aholics, this is the kinda shit that gets that fire going. I really seem to think this mother assumed the computer was a babysitter for her teen, and look how it turned out. Can you sue people for being stupid? I think we have an award for this mother...

Kinda confusing, but they just loop back and forth. If you call GD support (I did for a friend with a question about a cart service once) the rep on the other end will ask what page you are looking at/calling for, and all are outsourced. Maybe GD is so upset with itself, it doesnt want anything to do with itself. Weird, still scary. Anyone that can use google knows that GD is pure evil and the devil in disguise.

First Q: A little of both, I was reading back afew issues and posts I did, one was on female gamers (the main article I didnt enjoy, but some comments were nice), afew /.'rs spoke of how females are always busy, and dont game as much. I dont know how true that is, I can only speak for myself. I have a son that lives with his father, I am currently expecting come this fall, our household now has 2 four month old kittens, 2 adult cats, and 1 dog. Along with starting a business with 3 other people (goes live tax day lol), I am abit busy, but I think if we dont find abit of time for gaming, or something that relaxes us, we will all grow old and mean. I dont want to do that. I have been offered in clans afew times, but decline since I am abit busy and I knew I would not be able to dedicate that much time for gaming. I try and game abit everynight, however in the past few years its slipped, and Im not doing as well as before. I think part of it, is the seniors (who are still old school and want men only clubs) who complain when a female enters the game, therefore no invite is give, and if 'she' makes it that far, she might end up giving up - taking all the bs that comes along with gaming. As I said, I have only been gaming w/CSCZ for afew months now, and the servers I end up on, when I see another female in there, the youngest was about 17, the youngest male - hehe, his voice squeaked. :)

OM! Are you suggesting /. repliers are *ahem* post-aholics? :D Right now I play alot of CSCZ with my fiance, and usally on a friends server (I have issues finding servers I like, and Im quite picky w/lag times, drives me insane). I think there are about 10-12 servers besides the friends I game on, I would say maybe on friends server about 5 differant females I have seen, I think 2 might be in the clam, from the other servers, again a handful of females, but in the past few months I think I have only seen about 3 that are clam members. And most of the servers I end up playing on, pending the time of course (gotta remember bedtimes lol) are young people, however most of the females I end up running into, like self, are 20+ in age groups. Most guys however, daylight hous are 13+ and after about 10pm are 20+. Kinda odd, and the last thing I want to hear when gaming is a damn squeky kid just getting his 'man voice' with the normal rants and bs talk, so thats why Im abit picky with the servers I choose. Sometimes you find a really good one, and it just takes one jerky to make you turn your speakers off and still game. :D
