That is close to what I was thinking. You are selling a device designed around content that will require a lot of data transfer to take place (streaming video, music, etc). They have done a good job so far locking people into Amazon Prime with their tablet. They need to negotiate with AT&T to provide any Amazon supplied content free of metering against their monthly data cap similar to how T-Mobile allows unmetered access to music streaming services.
Sound about right, launch in mid June in Japan and then be ready to launch in November in the U.S. Launching a console in the first quarter of a calendar year in the U.S. just sounds like suicide to me.
AMD chips are using less power the intel these days, thus less heat. Wait let me write that in a bad slashdot joke.
Step 1. Buy AMD over Intel
Step 2. Save money in power consumption
Step 3. ???
Step 4. Profit.
So now Intel is still right when they change their tune to say performance per watt? Was AMD wrong when Intel was touting clock speeds and they were saying its not about clock speeds, it's about performance?
I used to actually enjoy Portal. The two channels have deffinintly gone downhill since they merged them. On a plus note, I think they are showing the Canadian call for help with Leo in the mornings now.
You can just use a regular wireless hub, you don't have to buy this. Its only for people that don't have a wireless access point already. From TFA:
"One you're there, you can choose to set up a completely new connection to a pre-existing wireless hub or hop aboard the USB Connector. Both are painless (provided you have a supported router that isn't WPA security encrypted), but the USB Connector setting is particularly simple."
making action movies out of action games is that Action game needs to be pretty constant action to be entertaining while a movie needs a rise and fall in the action to accentuate a story. If you try to make a good movie you are likely to not be true to spirit of the game, where as if you try to be true to the spirit of the game (constant action) you're likely to end up with something gothic on speed. It just won't be pretty.
The per MHz refers to the bandwith of the signal. 900 MHz is not the bandwith but the center frequency. Whats got me all sorts of confused is looking at their Spec Anny plots. The damn thing looks like a CW spike and not a modulated carrier. Plus the second plot located here http://www.xgtechnology.com/plots.asp makes it look like it has a carrier plus noise over noise of like 60dB. WTF?? Untill they actually release something more specific about their modulation technique I claim smoke and mirrors.
Ok if the power is out at the site of emergency the ham operator can transmit out but what about the power that is still working (the next county over who is sending supplies and emergency workers) where they want to transmit the emergency information to. You still have the interference there and won't be able to communicate. The fact remains that BPL is a noisy for of communications and the FCC has never allowed such noise across any spectrum, ham spectrum or not. You can be sure if the noise and signals put off where a higher freq and in the range to interfere with Sat TV a lot more people would be bitching.
You are a little mis informed. Police departments have set freqs and licenses granted by the FCC. Mall cleaning crews are likely to be using open airways as defined by the FCC. Open airways are free to transmit on (within certain guidelines, i.e. power level, bandwith) without a license. WIFI falls into this free airspace or the license is granted to the WIFI manufacturer not sure which, hence you don't need a license to check your email.
So what exactly does the Mario games simulate?
Well Mario Sunshine perpetuates male chauvinism by allowing children to "hose down" the people in the game thus paralling a wet t-shirt contest.

If they aren't good for your business, just cancel their contracts.
Anything NYC related is big government. They have more money than many countries.
It's called a union.
They have medicine to help you with your ADD you know.
Um, Oblivion is a single player game. They are talking about paying for small extra content that is freely available with the PC version.
Even after the next generation people still want to play Nintendo on their Xbox?
Though sensationalized drama does.
Numbers 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 will all be taken care of at E3 in May. The rest can easily be done in the month span after E3 and launch.

It hurts my hand to play it, especially when games use the shoulder buttons. Maybe I'm just developing a case of carpal tunnel.

Hey the Hallmark channel has 4 episodes of Mash daily, gotta love that.

Yeah maybe some !!!!!11one!!!1
If your going to charge the kids with felonies, then you should charge the IT administrators with aiding and abetting for leaving the password there.

Ok so we now know the exact cost of an arm, when will they do a leg so we can finally know how much an arm and a leg really cost?

Only on Slashdot would the original poster flame him/herself for punctuation errors:)
