No outsider today can prove definitively that Google is not an office park full of geniuses who could at any moment announce, simultaneously, world peace and a cure for the common cold.
Interestingly, you say we have not understood the full reverse of the Universe, yet later implicitly accept the Big Bang theory.
To assume that there was a begining doesn't make everything after the begining understood. It had to begin. If it didn't begin, and scientists were of the same thought, then they wouldn't have built the computer to try to find out where it began.
What if you wanted to erase, or over-write the data? You have to wait until your fingernail grows completely out?
Also, I wonder if this is going to be like the whole truck thing. Started out with 2-door, then wow, 3-doors! Then, WHOA! 4-door, who'd-a thought? One day someone will say, "Eureka! We can do toenails too!
...I'm from Alabama. If you try to break into my house, you always end up shot. If you break into my computer, (yeah, people have computers in Alabama, you don't think we came up with "git-R-dun" by ourselves do you?) you get my computer-nerd friend all over your ass. Either way, don't you come try to take something that's mine.
The only reason I looked in here was to find who posted the funniest comment. I had no idea that someone would have accually posted something that would merrit a "+5 INTERESTING". But you did.I'm thinking that budweiser is gunna take this thing and run with...
Today we solute you, Mr. +5 INTERESTING. You darelingly take on ficticious articles, and provide a realistic common ground. Who cares if you pull from other ficticious rhelms in order to do so. For without you, this/. article would not have been as fun.
India has been in the headlines a lot lately, and not much of it has been anything horrible. Not to shabby for a country that just got it's dependence not even 60 years ago.
Why are we spending so much time on searching for water on Mars? Are we planning to move there one day? Really? If so, is there going to be any Tang? Water alone is only good for so long.
...I think the earlier version was better. It seemed to capture the truth of the book, along with all of it's randomness. This movie was rushed, and not very funny. I guess the worst thing about it to me was that Ford Prefect, was not as he was in the book. This guy in the movie probably, didn't read the book.
Wow, what a site. I never knew that someone else had the same ideas as me, and could also posess the same inability to get the words right. These 2 factors provide a good reason not to scroll.
If we could create a robot that can creat other robots, that can create other robots, then we are really creating. But if we are just building a robot that can perform some various actions in calculated circumstances, then all we're doing is creating a switch for a situation that arrises out of our waiting for it.
We are wanting to create something that deal with the same reality as we experience. This is the problem. Reality is something that we experience from within. A robot is something that experiences the result of our reality. Robots are pre-destined. There will never be anything that a robot does that it was not programed to do. They will never be ahead of us in reality, and if they ever were, we wouldn't reconise it.
This is a paradox we're stuck in. On one hand, we have Darwin's theory. On the other hand, we have the controvery over the Intelligent Design movement. Now you're telling me that we have to give our e-mail address, just to find out the rest??? The world is still round, right?
Computer gaming has always been sustained by never-ending improvements in resolution and realism. But once we get to photorealism, what is going to sustain growth?"
Interactive robots on mars being controled by the high school AI club. They will compete with the surrounding schools, and it will all be on a television show called, "American Recital". Eventually, children will be able to take over third-world countries with these robots.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the atoms vibration will have to come into play at some point. This would mean that there will be a "hot" and a "cold" involved. That means movement of atoms are going to be very, very important. I'm interested in knowing how it will happen.
[sarsasm]How can the UN take anything from the US?[/sarcasm]

I did a little research myself, and it's not so.

....because if it ever were possible, I'd come back and fix one little thing that I did wrong a few years ago. Or was that what I did?

The real question is, how does this story get posted on Slashdot? It has nothing to do with nerds. I deem this article "TROLL"
Come back my child, lay your head down. There's no real threat, only rovers on Mars.
Such a better problem then the one here on Earth!

Don't worry, I saw Zaphood Beblebroks was also fooled.
Isn't this the middle of the movie that we've already seen? How can you spoil that?
Brag about security, and you'll have to use it.
Go buy a Windows PC, and a Linux box. Get them on the internet. Surf with them. Let us know how it goes, brother.
Thanks for the heads-up.
What does this whirlwind prove anyway? I mean, if there were a fan plugged in somewhere, THAT would be cool.
