According to Codie, the five - four boys and a girl - then began talking in a language she didn't understand, thought to be Urdu, so she went to speak to the teacher.
"I said 'I'm not being funny, but can I change groups because I can't understand them?' But she started shouting and screaming, saying 'It's racist, you're going to get done by the police'."
Codie said she went outside to calm down where another teacher found her and, after speaking to her class teacher, put her in isolation for the rest of the day.
A complaint was made to a police officer based full-time at the school, and more than a week after the incident on September 26 she was taken to Swinton police station and placed under arrest.
"They told me to take my laces out of my shoes and remove my jewellery, and I had my fingerprints and photograph taken," said Codie. "It was awful."
After questioning on suspicion of committing a section five racial public order offence, her mother Nicola says she was placed in a bare cell for three-and-a-half hours then released without charge.

The incidence of type II diabetes has skyrocketed over the last 20 years. We can't claim there has been a huge change in the makeup of people's DNA. It has to do with diet. Obese people (except for a small percentage where diet is not the culprit in their weight) cannot blame anyone but themselves.
I could really care less if those Mexicans crossing the border are White Anglo-Saxon Protestants. They are here illegally and they are holding down the wages of all Americans. There is no question about that. If you had a choice between hiring someone for $5 or $10 an hour, which one are you going to pick? Until the government starts hauling employers straight to jail for hiring illegal immigrants, those illegals are going to continue to cross the border en masse.
I got up bright and early this morning so I could be at my local Electronics Boutique 3 hours before opening. I was the first one there. People who later got in line said there were over 25 people already at a nearby store. I was curious as to why few other people were in line at my location but did not think too much of it. Finally with about 10 people in line, the store opens and the lone employee informs us all that they will only be accepting 3 preorders but everyone else can rush to the nearby store which will have 36 in stock. It's at that point I realize why so few people were at my location. They must have called ahead of time. Three of us did not care but several other people were understandably pissed off. As the employee explained it, not many people had been preordering Wii games at that location so they ended up with only a small allotment of the system itself. In the future, I'll call beforehand to confirm the number available for preorder.

Microsoft surprised more than a few people on Thursday when one of its developers told a technical crowd in Australia that 32-bit versions of Windows Vista won't be able to play back next-generation high-definition protected content, i.e. commercial Blu-ray and HD DVD discs.
Later Thursday, representatives in the U.S. said that senior program manager Steve Riley was mistaken.
"The information he provided to that audience was incorrect," a representative told CNET News.com. "Playback is possible with Windows Vista in 32-bit."
The decision of whether to offer that support, the representative said, won't be made by Microsoft but rather by the third-party software makers that create DVD playback software, folks like CyberLink and InterVideo.
"It is up to the ISVs providing playback solutions to determine whether the intended playback environment, including environments with a 32-bit CPU, meets the performance requirements to allow high-definition playback while supporting the guidelines set forth by the content owners," Microsoft PR manager Adam Anderson said in a statement. "No version of Windows Vista will make a determination as to whether any given piece of content should play back or not."

There are a few pieces of evidence that support evolution and there are other pieces of evidence that support creation. You simply choose to believe the evidence is in your favor as I choose to believe the evidence is in mine.
Insightful? How is this different than saying "So certain atomic patterns make one a felon?" For example, possession of atoms in such a configuration that you have a bomb or explosive device. Not saying that I agree with the law, though.
What's really irrational is that the slashdot crowd cannot fathom in their biased minds that someone rational like myself with extensive schooling could possibly believe in the Genesis account of creation. They seem to have forgotten that science has gotten it wrong so many millions of times before. Spontaneous generation anyone? Sun revolving around the Earth? Everything composed of either earth, wind, fire or water? Oh those theories are so old! We're much too advanced to believe in false science theories? Oh really? Take a look at any medical journal today and compare it with what was believed 20 years ago or even 5. I've seen God work in the lives of those around me, sometimes most miraculously. I've seen the evidence that supports my belief in God, but if you're too blind to even look for it, you will never find it.
