Maybe you should read the URL I mention in my signature. The author goes out of his way to point out that there will never be any "eternal burning".

  7. We All Descend from Noah on The Shallow Roots of the Human Family Tree · · Score: 1, Offtopic

These results are not surprising considering that we all descend from Noah who according to tradition lived around 2000-2500 BC. Of course, most people here will cry foul. The Bible couldn't possibly be true, right? Or could it?

  8. Re:church income tax? on Internet Deconstructing State Church in Finland · · Score: 1

Of course that whole theory comes crashing down when you realize that Jesus was the rock upon which the church was built, not a man. A church built upon a man will surely tumble like a house built on sand.

  9. Re:Well, duh. I could have told you that on DVD Format War Already Over? · · Score: 1

As far as I know, all HD-DVD titles so far have used VC-1, a format at least as good as H.264. It's Blu-Ray that insists on using MPEG-2 in their early releases.

  11. The Internets on Nintendo Announces Japanese Wii Price · · Score: 1

Well it looks like the Wii will be able to get on Internet 2 as well since it can browse the "internets". That will certainly put Sony and MS in a vice grip.

I'm fairly certain that the poster was referring to CD versus downloads, not that downloading would magically make the cost of producing music disappear.
