sell bing? bing is one of the few things these days that make MSFT strong...along with their entertainment business (xbox, etc). they are dragging themselves into the modern age with bing.
Most of us don't want to sit around and do nothing when innocent people die...largely by factors that are beyond their control, regardless of the logical arguments. Ever heard of Karma?
I think their increased margins will be used to secure more movie rights and to expand their disk inventory...and possibly to set them up for a buyout by Amazon.
I think they're spending more and more on getting content for their networks...and they just need to pass these costs along to stay profitable. I doubt they're doing this to grab more cash for their own pockets. Nonetheless, $23/month for my 2 disk plan (blue ray) is approaching on my threshold for considering other options.
while Nintendo might not always get it right, I like that they are leading the experimentation of control interfaces and game system design...so we don't get caught in a cycle of incremental improvements but nothing revolutionary.
What do you get with more than $65 million that you don't get with $65 million that would be worth continuing to sue for? Seems like a case of absurdly diminishing returns after the first $10-$30 million.
Bet it will cost you more than $25/yr in power to run your FTP server...and I bet there will be times when your server goes down, or needs updating, or hacked, etc.
Oh, and I bet you have to spend hundreds of dollars of your time to setup and maintain the server...and I'm not even including buying the thing.
I like and use facebook, but the apps drive me nuts. I reject all app requests and remove automated posts to my wall from friend's apps. Wish there was a way to remove all apps.
Young and stupid that is. You are very very naive. Being healthy is not always about taking care of yourself. Some things are beyond your control.
I work for a large well respected company that prides themselves on their benefits, and for my good (PPO) health insurance, my premium alone is $150/month, and yes I'm young without kids as well. Actual insurance cost is $600/month. My company pays the additional $450/month. If I had kids and a family plan, it would cost me around $400-500/month and my company would pay the extra $1,500/month or so. And shit, in addition to my premiums, I'd pay another $10K/yr or more out of pocket to providers because my insurance didn't cover it.
My total medical expenses are routinely $5K/yr including premiums and that's with good insurance heavily subsidized by my employer
don't like the idea of video feeds in my home that are centralized to any company. If I ever set up video feeds, I'd want to host them on my own server/router and login to view.
I wonder if the combination of the iPad's ability to send content to the iTV to display in real time at 1080p while showing a completely different image on the iPad screen will effectively make the Nintendo Wii U redundant. You don't get a whole bunch of additional functionality. Hell, you can even make the same argument for the iPhone 4. By the time the Nintendo comes out at the end of next year, this type of integration will even be more mature.
That said, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a Nintendo Wii U:)
and it will be using mouth tracking to determine when it has failed and vomiting ensues.
they blocked payments to anon.
Not hard to imagine these numbers.
Q: Would you buy a phone that's better than the iPhone4 (one of the best selling smart phones)?
A: Survey results: most everyone says yes..
"better than the iPhone4" = "iPhone5"

I remember a time before the internet when people had to actually......oh, never mind...I forget what I am trying to say.

and where will the print them when the office/world goes paperless?
You can use windows for your toilet, but it gets messy at street level.
companion cubes for astronauts?

but they wanted to prove to dad that they could make it on their own...a by golly they did.
I like to multi-task while on the phone (w/ my bluetooth headset). I can't do that easily with a video phone.
i.e. TALK AND....play xbox, do the dishes, watch tv, drive my car, go to the bathroom, eat, etc.
