On the down side, Alienware gets outsourced to india, America loses yet another company, and Best Buy has to find a new gaming rig to sell. On the plus side, we get to talk to those people that can't speak English and we get 20% off for doing it... Well, at least we get 20% off.
The good thing about "Slashdot - Going dynamic with PHP" is that perhaps with the use of classes, they can reduce the rewriting of articles or at least make it so that they only have to make a "new" one.
"Some may argue that Microsoft should release a removal tool before the patch cycle anyway, and there is some credibility to the idea, though the logical extreme is that Microsoft should include an anti-virus program for free with Windows."
The only problem with that idea, is that it would further Microsoft's monopoly. If they include anti-virus software, it would tend to make people stop using Sophos / Norton / McCaffe. All they should be responsible for is fixing the hole that allowed the "virus" in in the first place. Granted, it would be good will if they provided a document on how it might be removed.
What about if Google was buying part of AOL, so that they could join IM networks. When AOL goes belly-up, Google keeps AOL's IMers and they get a 1 billion dollar tax write-off. Sounds like a win-win situation.
I just bought a high-def TV, and apparently I am going to have to call the cable company and pay them more, because Digital Cable apparently just costs more than analog cable and doesn't come with hi-def.
I was "StarWarsJunkie" throughout the beta of the game, and I made my character represent that. Once the real game started, I was confronted after a month or so, and they made me change my name. Now, having one of the most ugliest players possible, I thought this was pretty f*ed up. So I asked the moderator that confronted me to change it to Fuba Rotha (FubaR). He didn't catch it, and I was home free!
They have to be restrictive like that, because if they let one person use their symbol, you will have people advetising with the symbol and degrading the country as a whole. The symbol is still a representation of the presidency like insignias are of individual people. Reguardless of how many feel that Bush didn't work out, there is still the majority of people that voted him into office (twice if I might add). Also, it isn't like the government is the MPAA, they were just telling them to take it down.
Is this similar to an iron filing on an electromagnetic grid??? If it requires this mat to travel on, I see no difference. The metal filing would probably move quicker, anyhow.
I downloaded the game and beat it within 2 hours. It was fun, but really short.
That doesn't make one "bit" of difference... wait... or does it?
First China.... and then to the moon!!!!

You mean "$26,000,000,000 - that's a big number". In the header it mentioned that it is 13 billion pounds. 1 Pound is approximately 2 dollars.

I kind of like this article on howstuffworks.com, on how light sabers work: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/lightsaber5.h tm
This is the page on practical uses of the light saber around the home.
Patches are for pirates!
Google should know that people think that BETA means "Beta be perfect"
They said reduced magic, you forgot to add the reduced magic modifier. Slashdot only provides +2, but it has an agro of 5 million.
I have been looking on http://moon.google.com/ and I can't for the life of me find any new craters.

Does this make Apu some white American??? Kevin
"Everybody loves a clown so wi-fi you...?"
"Jack Thompson Rescinds Offer" Should be: "Jack Thompson steals $10k from Charity"
You didn't mention that you were from MIT, that is all that matters. It is like a green card to publication.
I want to see the parent and the kid both sue the RIAA for pain suffered during the trial.
Does this mark the end of netscape???

Now I am going to have to look out for both seeing people and blind people looking/listening over my shoulder. Will my passwords ever be safe?
You know, I usually go for the underdog when betting on teams, but I think I will break tradition today. My money is on Google!
