"They tend to be less emotionally stable. They tend to react strongly to small things that they might not react to under other circumstances. A change in schedule may be a crisis if somebody is really stressed."
Just sounds like it is describing anyone who ever ends up entering INTO the IT field!
Everyone is concerned about developers not being able to utilize the hard drive in the system, but think about it: half-assed games will not be able to be patched at a later date, which is a HUGE upside to the whole thing. Games will be fully finished by release day, not by "a few months later"!
I would prefer a low-def window, where you can see only the largest streaks and fingerprints on your window. Windex definately has that commercial backwards.
Come on, this was on Mythbusters; these guys kicked the CRAP out out of some credit cards, and then checked out the data on the magnetic strip, and no damage was even noticeable with a card analyzer. These are more resilient than you give them credit for.
I'd think that there should be options for discovering others in the same zipcode or region though
Wouldn't that INCREASE the problem with child abductions/pedophilia? Finding perverts near your child to be abducted, instead of making the pedophile commute to "meet" your children?
"... it would facilitate the adoption of Linux by the "average" user"
Sorry but.. the last xbox could run linux, and Linux wasn't adopted by the "average" user...
does it run Linux? No seriously this time; if this thing can be modded to run like the last one, this would be a SERIOUS desktop replacement... for a fraction of the cost.
There is honestly no way that this "research" by a anti-virus company could be even remotely unbiased; they are going to exaggerate the hell out of this to make normal internet worms look like ebola.
I... have 6 tabs open right now and 29mb ram usage with the 1.1 release. Don't know if that is because the new release is so good, or yours is so bad, however.
Sorry, but who's this Al guy?
Please?

the smartest man alive! "...and is considered one of the world's leading experts on how to protect installations of Windows."
I am so happy I'm not the only one that thought this post screamed "Evangelion".
http://www.silentpcreview.com/ A few thousand people there seem to think noise is more important than performance.
But does Alcohol 120% work for all cd's? I.E. doesn't copyright protection negate the effectiveness of it for certain discs??
"ERROR IN BURNING PROCESS"
And thus is introduced the first coaster-induced suicide.
And Mythbusters is LAW!
"It looks like a big cat..." "What like a Puma?" "Yeah there ya go."
Luckily, the beta version solves the standalone update cycle. It uses smaller updates instead of reinstalling the whole program. Much more efficient.

Tin-foil cup!? So... h... CHAFING!
As if the rest of the LA Times articles aren't worthwhile. And I am not saying they are.
I was going to mod that post "funny" until I realized that he was serious!

A non-technical, school house rockish explanation of perpendicular storage. Pretty entertaining. http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/research/recording_h ead/pr/PerpendicularAnimation.html
I would hate to have to screen the people who have to buy more than one seat on the airplane to fit properly!
