    technically the speeding ticket is thrown out, but they replace it with driving with improper/non functioning equipment. Same fine, no points. Atleast thats what it was in 93 when I was speeding, ugh I mean driving with improper/non fuctioning equip., in that brown two tone 81 Caprice Classic station wagon. My how times have changed.....now I have a two tone minivan.

    because they won't be caught. and even if they do get caught, and receive the death penalty, it will be 27yrs before their appeals are exhausted at which point they will be senile and therefore deemed unfit for execution.

    My sentiments exactly. It is much more desirable (for me, not necessarily for the politicians) to be able to vote for a politician based on their true beliefs, not what they want me to hear. Unfortunately for the politicians, when my position changes, I'll be looking for a representative that views the issue as I do, meaning that unless they have miraculously changed their view to match mine, their out of a job. Much easier to reconfigure their opinion than to run for a new office.

    actually, from TFA they are suing the handset makers, not the chipset manufacturers. "Matsushita, Samsung and Nokia are some of CSR's largest customers, said WRF attorney Steven Lisa. Instead of suing CSR, he said the organization decided to act against the handset makers because the chipset manufacturer may not know which chips are headed to the United States, where the patent is enforceable, but the device-maker would."

    I don't know if this is a relevant analogy but; When I open up in OpenOffice a document I created in Word, is it Word's fault or OO 's fault that it doesn't look the same as when I created it in Word? Formatting and fonts is one thing, but if my walls don't line up well that's a bigger issue.

    the problem with disabling said warning is that if a .dwg file that was not generated by AutoCad caused autocad to crash and destroy contents of said file, who's the user going to blame? AutoCad, even though it was the "non genuine" .dwg file that caused the problem.

    your problem is you don't have enough friends who are police officers. If you did, you'd feel a bit different about that "thin blue line" wouldn't you. After all, if your the one "not being held accountable" for traffic violation, well that ain't so bad.

    I couldn't tell you either way. Of course, the only one that ever visits my page is me so I didn't spend much time looking at PageRank. When I google myself I don't even come back as the first listing, and that's using my full name.
