most non competes are about accepting a job in the same field, sorry, but i don't imagine anyone thinking that new york city and toledo are the same field
Actually they're not bad these days, sure everything is integrated, but they don't put Quantum Bigfoots in them anymore, most of the stuff in them is standard parts, no more weird OEM crap, and have been this way for a year or two.
Tigerdirect has a Athlon XP2200+ 128MB, 40GB, CDRW,64MB Video Card, XP Home for $369.99
Ok, so it's been factory recertified, but there's no rebate, and that's just on the front page right now, it even includes Windows XP home, which probably makes up about a third of the price.
Waste was removed because AOL told them to, now one of the sourceforge mirrors for it is twtelecom.dl.sourceforge.net. Yes, Time Warner Telecom, who is owned by AOL Time Warner is now offering it again.:-)
Significantly more domains? I'll use your example and add some basic math 2.22e+122 is an approximate number of domains in a tld based on some doamin naming rules I found in google and ignoring that a - can't be at the beginning and also ignoring that some people will want domain names less than 67 characters, which pushes these number up by a significant amount, but you get the idea.com = 3.67e67.net = 3.67e67 total = 7.34e67 vs.tk = 3.67e67.us = 3.67e67.nu = 3.67e67 total =10.10e67
so actually if you could do this to.tk/.us/nu, you'd actually be doing it to 50% more than just.com/.net
How are there more domains in any tld than any other one? There may be more desirable ones in.com/.net, but there's not one more domain, and since i'll bet more domains are already taken in.com/.net, than there are in actuallity less domains that they are doing it to.
Even IBM doesn't make hard drives anymore, they sold everythign off to Hitachi. Even support for IBM hard drives have been sold off to Hitachi it looks like.
The gas tax goes to pay for road construction and repair, cops and other services, if you're paying less gas tax but using the roads just as much they have to make up for it somewhere.
Or you could just ask your representitives in your local legislature to tax instead based on your odometer, but that's more privacy intrusive, and what about when you're not driving in Oregon.
If anyone really does have a problem with a lockdown of BSD code, they could always take everything and re-release it under the GPL, they're quite welcome to do so as long as the BSD copyright notices remain intact in the source code.
It's for the 80% of people who buy a game that has both SP and MP, and then only play SP, Blizzard has released statistics in the past to back up such claims since they own the MP gaming network and can tell when each and every one of their keys doesn't call home.
This is to provide a discount to the majority of users who have absolutely no intention of ever playing the MP aspect of the game.
Though I'm sure it will cause confusion when little johnny opens his x-mas present and finds the SP only version and really wanted the SP/MP version.
So why would you buy a PS3? You've already got your DVD player in your PS2, you're got all your PS1 games that work on your PS2, what would be the point of "pretty much guaranteed to upgrade." you don't even know what games will be out for it and you're already "pretty much guaranteed to upgrade", I would think for you this would be more like "pretty much guaranteed NOT to upgrade" since you already have everything you want.
They'll make a Anti-RFID detector and you come in the store it goes off, sorry sir, you can't bring that in here.
Quite a few stores won't let you shop carrying a backpack, so I figure they'll do sometihing along those lines.
Don't like it? You don't have to shop there and they have the right to refuse you business as long as they aren't discriminating against a class of people(I don't think paranoid is a legal class of people).
MP3's? who the hell shares those anymore?, do a search on lossess audio compression, with broadband most people who are even marginally audiophiles ditched MP3's a long time ago.
Many of the people who record concerts (Phish and Dave Matthews) onto DAT go with lossless to distribute.
Shorten Monkey's Audio WavPack FLAC (ooh it's also "free") to name a few
The average Nazi or Nazi supporter knew nothing of the atrocities that happened in the death camps, the death camps were by and large run by the SS, so you could group all the SS into the evil category, but the Nazi movement was mostly a movement of national solidarity, with some people being purposely left out, The mothers at the rallies with their children might not have been happy with their neighbors being dragged out in the middle of the night, but the US did the same to it's Japanese, German, and Italian citizens.
Some Nazis were pure evil, and some just wanted to be part of their nation's glory.

Canada and monopolies can be a slight problem, the US allows Microsoft to operate, but they won't even let DeBeers in.
There's also TPS in South Park
TPS (Tarsonic Polarity Syndrome; "buttocks where their heads should be").

So the solution is to read every mailing list in existence to get a jump on the script kiddies?
Who knows, the Ladies Home Journal mailing list might have a bugfix for your ovens remote root exploit.
And this is a weekend, so that does a lot of good for people who actually take the weekend off.

Alot is now a word, I declare it to be a word and it's meaning is extremely sthe same as "a lot".
There, that's all it takes in the English language to make up a new word.
No I won't trademark or copyright my new word, you may all use it your hearts content.

mod parent up and mod me down, he said exactly what i was going to say :-)
Don't blame me, I voted for Kang.
You haven't been here long enough...
All copyrights are bad except things copyrighted by the GPL.
If anyone really does have a problem with a lockdown of BSD code, they could always take everything and re-release it under the GPL, they're quite welcome to do so as long as the BSD copyright notices remain intact in the source code.
gplBSD here we come.
Because we all know how consumer electronics like gaming consoles "wear out"
Except for the old nintendo entertainment system with it's funky tilting connector, consoles don't "wear out"
uh oh, my toaster is about to "wear out" and so is my microwave

As other have said, putty
Don't forget cygwin, how can you use windows without cygwin? I'm primarily a windows guy and love my cygwin.
Teraterm ssh, though that is feeling it's age.
And I know there are other ones if you're willing to pay for them.

uh physics has nothing to do with it, if you move straight up at 100 miles per hour, it only takes one hour to move up 100 mph
the article says "surged up Mount Washington at 12.5 mph" which means his driving speed was 12.5 miles per hour UP A MOUNTAIN
therefore he should have made it in 36 minutes
the article may be wrong, but his math isn't

Someone who is not you stills owns the copyright, that's all it takes to make distribution of the content illegal.
