...Which is filled with things like JSTOR (I think that's how it's spelled), where you have to either already have a subscription with them or pay a fee.
Who really cares about his high school GPA? Just because it isn't very high (it's not much lower than mine was when I graduated, though) doesn't mean that he isn't a good student.
When I graduated high school (a year ago), I had a 3.0 GPA. I was the only student in the entire school who took every advanced course. I also had a 33 ACT score (took it twice... my ACT score from my sophomore year was a 31). So yeah, my GPA was a 3.0... but I don't think anyone there considered me a bad student. I just didn't like "busywork", as I thought writing definitions 5 times each was studid. I used to tell the teachers "If you want me to learn the words, ask me to learn the words and then test me on them like you're going to anyways.... just don't make me waste time writing them."
This kid might be the same way.
I'd like to note that my college GPA is currently MUCH better, and I'm about a semester ahead or so because of all the AP classes I had and such.
I'm seeing a lot of anti-censorship posts on here. I'm really inclined to believe that Google did this because the paper-writing ads were popping up all over the place. As a student, it's frustrating to have to find other sources for a paper (to use as referances) and not get any results back but these paper-buying sites. Hopefully, Google is going to push to get them removed from their search index, as well.
How is google doing anything wrong here? They have an image searching service. The website owners didn't have a robot.txt file. (Yes, I know that the works were being hosted by some other place than the owner, but they should have gone after THOSE guys, not google).
He's a king; if he can lead the country, surely he can withstand...FEET. I understand that feet are treated differently over there.... but well, if someone posted a picture of me next to a bare penis (or hell, even a BEAR penis), I don't think I'd be trying to sue them--it's the internet. Nobody cares.
You sir, are assuming that it wasn't free. And it was. I got w/ something I bought within the last year (maybe my printer? I don't remember anymore). I planned on just letting the suscription run out, but I think it makes more of a statement if a lot of people outright cancel the subscription.
I think you misunderstood something-- Apple is offering HIGHER quality AAC's w/ NO DRM for $1.29. The $.99 deal still applies for the DRM'd version, which is the same quality it always has been (or at least, as far back as I remember).
You know, some people actually prefer food from McDonalds over...let's say.. The Outback. Or Applebee's. Or The Olive Garden. I happen to not care much one way or the other (the food is the same to me... go get a $10 chicken sandwhich and wait an hour for it, or get a $3 chicken sandwhich and get it...NOW). My girlfriend is one of those odd people who actually PREFERS the fast food joint's offerings.
Also, I've TRIED to convert a lot of people to Mac OS and Linux... Not many people stick with it-- most people go back to Windows. I guess it's just EASIER for most (non-technical people) people.
Yeah, I'm a big MS basher, but they DO have some things going for them. Same with fast food joints (and like I said, it's not just that they're everywhere or that "you don't have to think").
I'd hardly call M&M's "edible". And yeah, now I have the craving for a nice big box of Leonidas. I was actually only esposed to them this last Valentine's Day, when I bought the honey a couple lbs of it. Amazing stuff; I can't stand to eat American "chocolate" anymore.
I think you missed the point of the MTV = Rock Band thing... They're talking about bands being introduced to consumers THROUGH Rock Band's built-in songs, not people actually making their music through the game.
Right... but how many people play Counterstrike on their laptops?? When you first install it, you have to install Steam with it, and then Steam/CS do a massive amount of updates. Things like that eat up gb's really quickly.
Alright, so let's say you download America's Army... and something messes up (it gets close to the end of the download and messes up... which has happened quite a few times for me), so you go to download it again... Then a patch comes out for it a few days later... there goes your 5gb.
Misleading? 5gb is kind of a small limit. That's like buying a Ferrarri for $10,000 and then finding out that it's only going to drive you off the lot.
Movies? Hell, with the size of patches in some of today's games (or, better yet, the sizes of the demos...it's not uncommon to see a 1gb demo any more), it's kind of hard to not go over 5gb in HALF a month. Them advertising the service as "unlimited" is just flat-out wrong with such a tiny amount of allowed data usage per month.
You've obviously never played any of the TMNT games on Gameboy. Even when I was five years old and a huge Turtles fan, they earned a big fat:_( rating from me.
The court has ordered the RIAA to pay the defendant's attourney fees in this case. They want the RIAA's documents so that they can determine what "reasonable attourney fees" are.
They DID send it in an internet, but we were clogging up the tubes with "youtubes" and "myspaces" that it didn't reach them until AFTER they finished copying it!

It wasn't? I'm confused...

No, but making maps for the game does.

There goes my PC World subscription (I considered it useless, anyways).

This is funny, and not just because the only person I know with a tattoo on her lower back is an ex of mine.

it's just that it WORKS and you don't have to jump through any stupid hurdles.
...considering how a lot of places bundled this movie with the PS3. What about the OTHER blu-ray movies that have been sold?

Why wouldn't hijackers just start going after the controllers, instead?
