What you don't know is that WHBQ Fox 13 is a local news affiliate, and not related to the Fox News Channel in any way. Generally these local news teams will resort to "extreme" or "Undercover" journalism in an attempt to grab viewers.
We did have them in the US. They were generally seen as a bad thing because the company would provide these amenities, and subtract it from the worker's pay (even providing what were basically food stamps), and the workers would barely get paid. This tended to lock people into working for that one company, as they could not save enough money to move away and work somewhere else.
They didn't even buy the movie. They payed to rent it. This is the same as people who get Netflix in the mail, rip it, and return it. This is flat out stealing.
You can download the straight MP3. Go to "Your Account" -> "Change Download Manager" and turn the download manager off. The download button links straight to the.mp3
eMusic has the option to download the straight MP3 rip. You have to turn the Download Manager off in your Account Settings. The only thing it's good for is buying entire albums with one click.
... You don't get sent to Gitmo for breaking the DMCA. Why does the world (including many Americans) think that Gitmo is where we send all of our criminals?
Exactly. The "Hardcore" crowd feel like the casual market is muscling in on their market, and all games will now be just like Wii Sports, or Brain Training. They're afraid that this new market is so much bigger than them that it'll shut them out and the companies will lose any sort of focus on the games that they like to play. And they're pretty vocal about it, too. But, Nintendo has stated that they have not forgotten the Hardcore gamer and still have titles for them. They present Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart as a sign that they have not forgotten. Some believe them and have faith, others still won't see it.
Nintendo is for EVERYONE, but some people can't see it.
From my understanding, when you make a derivative work, that derivative is your copyright. But, you do not own the copyright to the original just because you used it.
For example, if a musical artist records a cover of a copyright-expired song, you cannot use that version without his permission, but you can still use the original song.
Exclusive publication deals is all that drew anyone to any console. Why do you think the Wii is so popular? Because it's the only place that you can find Wii Sports. If every game was allowed on any console, people would only buy the cheapest one (except fanboys). The reason the PS2 was so damn popular was because the the huge amount of (good) games that you could only get on the PS2.
This need to have the exclusives and have the best hardware is what drives the competition. The videogame market is nothing like the OS market. In the OS market, the games go to Windows because that's all there is. In the game market, the games to to the best/most popular, or even multiple consoles, which can easily change once something better comes along. Theres very healthy competition and, as we've seen, the mighty can fall and the underdog can make ludicrous amounts of money due to their innovative practices.
The beauty of online music is that you are better able to find those specialized tastes. Even among legal services. It presents alternatives to the manufactured label crap, and I think that's why they're so scared. They fear the independent labels, which are exploding on the web, will steal their business.
It's not so much them not being able to access your data after it's stolen, it's you being able to access your data. I haven't exactly memorized every number on my contacts list.
My father is an Air Traffic Controller, and they often get angry at all of the Fuel-Optimizing. Airlines now use just enough fuel to get to the destination. If they need to go into a holding pattern, or face an emergency, it just create more problems.
Anyway, I want to see some specs on that thing. $930 seems a lot for a "consumer computer". I see that you can buy a decent Dell for US$499 that will do everything you'd need for a basic home computer, and that includes Vista.
Bloggers seem to be mostly made of people without formal Journalism classes. Because of that, it doesn't seem they know the basics of libel. They see the freedom of the internet and are SHOCKED when they find out they can't say Mr. Smith is actually a secret hit-man with an extensive criminal record, just because they think he could be.
Kind of makes you wish that the North adopted some of the improvements to the Constitution that the South made. Considering they wrote theirs after the experience of the original constitution, it's almost expected.

Maybe most people don't care because they don't have/cant afford the $1300 set up, and thus can't tell the difference anyway.
You asked why Halo is so popular and then compared it to World of Warcraft.

It seems all of the C-network (besides Cnet.com itself) are down.
I actually foresee cameras recording at 22 FPS. 22½ FPS, even.
Prove us wrong as in: Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy.

That's where independent labels come in. They wouldn't be part of BPI, so they wouldn't be bound by this, right?

GM Sponsorship.
Because people want to feel like they're paying money for something without paying money for it.
It's been generally understood that "Freedom of Speech" means "Freedom of Expression", words or otherwise.

There's trade-offs for everything.
It is about 74%, actually.
