I know this could not have been a far too serious attempt, but this video lacks so much. Homer doesn't look stupid enough and is just semi bald. He should have a bigger forehead.
Bart and Lisa is just plain wrong, but Marge is just horrible. She reminds me of Al Bundy's wife, Peg, but with lesser hair.
All in all a funny attempt and it takes me back to the time when they animated homer in 3D and let him travel to our dimension. That was some cool stuff back then.
An antibiotic is a drug that kills or slows the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics are one class of antimicrobials, a larger group which also includes anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic drugs. They are relatively harmless to the host, and therefore can be used to treat infections. The term, coined by Selman Waksman, originally described only those formulations derived from living organisms, in contradistinction to "chemotherapeutic agents", which were purely synthetic. Nowadays the term "antibiotic" is also applied to synthetic antimicrobials, such as the sulfonamides. Antibiotics are small molecules with a molecular weight less than 2000. They are not enzymes.
I disagree with you. You cannot design life around disabled people. Since only a few percent (or less?) of us are disabled, it is not profitable to build everything disabled-proof.
It's harsh but that's life. I'm sure the developers of this game had something else in mind and I'm very sure that they didn't intend to mess with disabled people. That's nothing but a sad outcome.
I might add that I am disabled too, waist and down. That's obviously not a choice I had but I will never blame people for not building thin paths, stairs and all that.
Last but not least, let me inform you that you're whining about a stupid game. It's not like a hospital was built without any wheelchair supported elevators or anything, but we're talking about a kid who think's that all games should be steered by one hand. Point is, a computer is designed for two hands, not one.
No, I am not afraid of Google. First off, there's no such thing as forever. Nothing lasts forever. Everything transforms. That includes Google, Microsoft and other companies. Do you honestly believe that Microsoft is going to last forever? Or Google?
If Microsoft can take over IBM, and if Google can take over Microsoft, then something else can take over Google. And once Google gets evil, it will have six point five billion (plus) humans rage against it.
A lot of people seem to know better than the rest of us by saying that Microsoft is entering a business with too little, too late and God knows what.
Remember when Microsoft went to war with Sony and Nintendo? A lot of people said it was a dumb move and that Microsoft would basically get kicked out by Sony. Look what happened, now they seem to put Sony at risk. Instead of being behind, they're AHEAD.
I'm not a big MS fan but I hate it when people seem to neglect the fact that Microsoft is the biggest software company in the world because they've been doing the best job so far. Obviously, since they are in the lead. And please don't flame me on this one, I prefer Linux but I don't see my dad and my sister using Linux anytime soon.
Point is, Microsoft ain't going into this market without a serious plan.
So now I can extract more money from tree-hugging activists by saying that I will get a first generation Itanium, UNLESS they give me whatever's equivalent to power savings and planted trees.
GIVE ME $5,000,000 OR I'LL GET ITANIUM INSTEAD OF NIAGARA!!
Just when you thought you'd get rid of those flies for some time now during the winter, scientists come up with a way to help those damn flies to reproduce?
I've not switched and I see no reason to why I should. I use Windows mostly for Photoshop and browsing the internet. I do have Gentoo on the computer next to me, serving as a PHP/MySQL workstation.
I like what I've got there but as for anything beyond server usage, I don't want anything but Windows.
I could switch to Apple, of course, but then there's a zillion games I'd miss out on.
Why exactly should I get rid of Microsoft? I use their operating system on my primary computer although I use Linux at work as well as on my own server. I would not want to trade Windows for Linux, or Linux for Windows. Both need to co-exist.
The author of this news item says, I quote, "this is easier said that done, but it is certainly possible". So WHY exactly should I waste my precious time on trying to convert to something else when I see no need? I almost get the feeling that this dude wants a job at CNN and write articles about Bagdad Bob or something.
Get a grip. Microsoft is in a well-earned position. They fought over something that IBM had and they won. I can't say what's going to happen next but I certainly dislike people whining about its dominance too much. If you don't like the product, well, don't use it then. I don't see you driving around in an all new car that you totally hate before buying it.
No one would really want it anyway

I don't see the use for such device. When do you actually want to watch music videos on such small display?
When I carry a music player around, I do so in my pocket and I want it so small that it won't be in the way.
I believe that a PVP (portable video player) would be a great thing though, although still not that necessary.
So what if the public demand is of bigger interest? In my opinion, Google brings stuff to people, stuff making your life just a bit easier. And free. NASA should endulge this.
"Google and NASA share a common desire to bring the universe of information to people around the world," said Eric Schmidt, the company's chief executive officer, in a statement. "Imagine having a wide selection of images from the Apollo space mission at your fingertips whenever you want it."
What NASA need to do if they want more people watch their stuff is to get cameras that don't hold the same level of quality as the ones where UFO:s are caught on tape.
It will be very interesting to see what Google can do here. And check this quote:
"Experts say the company, which now employs more than 4,000 people, has ambitions beyond Internet search and could pose a serious threat to Microsoft Corp. for supremacy in desktop consumer computing."
That reminds me of the stories that were published a few years back about MS sats that were launched all over (and above) our planet. I wonder when we'll be seeing the next Google sat?:)
Good and popular isn't always a good thing. When FireFox was released, it was also like a praise to many because finally we had an alternative to the evil big ol Microsoft coming. But once FireFox reached the bigger masses, it also opened its eyes for hackers around the world.
Summary: the bigger it is, the bigger risk it will become to use software.
I remember hearing the SpaceShip crew speaking about their plans for the future, basically paving the way for space travels within a few years and moon landing within 20. So NASA goes there in 2018 and then the rest go there a few years later.
I've always wanted to walk on a giant cheese ball.
Actually, it really is like that. But think about the future potential of electronics. Hell, secured areas will probably be equipped with mini EMPs to guard their information.
To increase sales, just lower the CD prices to affordable levels or follow iTunes forever. I just hate buying CDs because it's basically 10 crappy songs and two or three hits.
Problem is, flash cards don't work quite as well as regular hard drives because you cannot flash them with consistent information all the time. I am not sure about what these chips can handle nowadays, but a couple of years back, such memory could be flashed about 10,000 times and that's it.

Soon, new software will allow nerds to graduate in nipple handling. It's very delicate and requires some hardcore training.
You're saying that porn is banned in your country? Man, you guys must have loads of unused broadband..

I would just love to see a movie about Disc World.. Ever played the game? It's hillarious.

What the hell? I cannot view this in Windows Media Player? WHAT'S HAPPENING? WHAT'S THIS OGG? IS IT A VIRUS?

"You are the only one in the Wall Mart checkout line not talking on a cell phone to pass the time while waiting for your turn to pay"
Yeah whatever, I've seen people talk on the phone when it's suddenly calling THEM. So many are obviously bullshitting the "I'm popular" thingie.
Suddenly I feel that the inventor of the broom is gonna get an awful lawsuit upon himself, because someone obviously had to invent the stick.
This is problably the lamest article to date.

Finally something that will replace my Mexican cleaning lady.

Am I the only one who's still on the standard Windows interface? I've never liked the themes that Windows XP included, really..
;)
I hate the way they design products nowadays. It's like the programmers are bound to watch Toy Story before they decide the looks of the shell?
Hopefully this version won't require a 256 MB video card, or else I'd have to switch to a non-interlaced and edged font, like System.
