Interesting. I was under the impression that helmets were unequivocally a necessary safety measure. I'll look into that.
Helmets should, in fact, be worn at all times. One is constantly in danger of tripping, and injuring the head. In fact, the proper type of helmet to be worn is not a bicycle helmet, but a football helmet, since that protects the face, also. Unfortunately, the additional weight can put a lot of strain on the necks of smaller persons, so additional neck supports should also be worn.
Helmets should only be removed for brief operations such as showers or haircuts.
Actually I like the idea of sending out a plague of self replicating machines in devices like these, to bring the Word Of Dawkins to the stars and troll the inhabitants of other star systems.
I saw that episode of Stargate... it didn't turn out well.
OK, so it's like your phone company says it's going to give you a Lamborghini, but only charge you for a Kia. Then, you get the car, and discover it's actually a Kia with a Lamborghini body kit. Then you get your first bill, and discover they're still charging you for a Lamborghini... actually, for 10 Lamborghinis.
In the past 16 hours (of which I was asleep for approximately 8), my laptop has consumed 130 MB of data. Of course, I've also consumed a few on my work PC over the past 3 hours. But still, I'm definitely not going to hit 34 GB/day.
The ratio of page space for ads to page space for articles seems like a good assessment of magazine qualitly to me.
I don't know... WIRED had a very high ad/content ratio back in the day... something like 100 pages of ads before any content. But that's because they offered compelling content that people wanted to read, so advertisers were willing to pay to get in there.
That is because Illustrator's native format is pdf. Honestly, mate, I own and use Illustrator and it is NOT the case that illustrator doesn't have gotchas or strange UI decisions.
You obviously don't use Illustrator or you'd know that Illustrator uses it's own format with a.ai extension, not PDF, for saving files.
I don't know how it is now, but a few years back when I was designing a poster in college, I used Illustrator, saved in.ai, changed the extension to.pdf, and it opened just fine in a PDF viewer.
However, OS X does do what GP means. For example, If logged into my user account I try to delete a file owned by root, I get a dialog pop up asking me to enter my password to authenticate as administrator in order to perform this action.
Of course, it doesn't have to determine what potential user can do this, since administrator can do anything, so it's not exactly the same as the MS patent.
And it will be more than enough current to kill a person (It only takes about 0.015 amps to kill someone, regardless of voltage).
I don't know whether your 0.015 A figure is accurate, but the amount of current available most definitely depends on the voltage, due to a person's innate resistance.
At one point around the same time frame I was browsing the web using X forwarding from a university over a 56k modem because my parents' AOL was broken!
The point is that there are a million other things in the bible that these people almost certainly aren't obeying themselves.
The most hypocritical being Matthew 7 - judge not lest ye be judged - as in get your own shit together before you start worrying about other people.
On that point I agree. Although I'm a Christian and hold traditional views, I also believe that what other people do that doesn't affect others is their own business. Honestly, I'm not sure why there's all the outrage against homosexuality, when there are tons of worse things going on all around.
Also completely hypocritical for lots of reasons. For example people like that can't justify why they hate the sin without running into the original problem of picking and choosing what parts of their holy book they decide to follow and what parts they decide to ignore.
Care to elucidate? I can't think of any part of the Bible where it says engaging in homosexual sex is not a sin.
Furthermore, there is no logical problem with accepting someone while condemning some of their activities. Or are you one of those people who think you are what you do?
I think you're stretching the meaning of the word "hate" here. Someone may be against gay marriage because they believe it's sinful, but that doesn't mean they hate the practitioners... just that they want it not to be legal because they think it's wrong. See the difference?
That's makes you part of the problem. If you and everyone like you boycotted Matlab, they would go out of business and someone with less onerous licensing could take over the industry. No snowflake in an avalanche feels responsible.
What exactly is the problem? MathWorks invests a lot into their software, and consequently are able to sell it. If someone else came up with a better solution at a lower price, I'm sure they would do well.

Acording to the aztec, their Tlatoani Ahuizotl, persoally killed 84,400 prisioners in four days using a stone knife...

... And what we usually settled on doing was some variation of rolling the an old barrel hoop down the dirt road with a stick...
You guys had sticks?! Why, when I was a lad, we had to roll barrel hoops down dirt roads with our hands!
Seriously, "BillionaireXchange.com"? Way to sound low rent guys.
well, I think "billionairesexchange.com" was already taken...

should have said "caused Apple to lose a hardware sale" That'll teach me not to hit preview.
Please, this is Slashdot... the proper fix would be: caused Apple to loose a hardware sale
I hope thats enough to make you stagger and wonder exactly how much damage they could have possibly done to this botnet.
If you read the actual FireEye blog, it seems like they've got a pretty good handle on it...

Mmmmmm... breaded rats.

I vote for worst use of the English language ever?
Is that a question or a statement.
"Literally" has been used as an intensifier since the 17th Century...
...by illiterate ignoramuses.

If God is perfect, and God wrote the Old Testament, then the Old Testament must therefore still be in effect, right?
Or was God wrong when He wrote the Old Testament?
Nope, he just changed the rules.
"A"?

... this is one of the greatest awards a man can receive, and it's wording is distinctly results oriented...
Used to be, my friend, used to be... Now it is pretty much meaningless.
Same thing as Freud's theories.
