    90% of all software (and games) in stores are overpriced.

    If software publishers were to lower their prices, then there will be a higher demand.

    How many more people will software if it dropped from $500 to $50-$100?

    Software Publishers can only blame themselves for high rate of piracy throughout the world.

    Also, high prices in commercial software helps open source software gain market share.

    Amazon.com has a auction site. Though, they dont push it a much as they should.
    Amazon.com has a payment gateway.

    Only the hardcore gamers pay $400-$600 for a game console. Nintendo markets their games and systems to families. Most families are under a limited budget. It's not cheap to have a family. But I agree with you. I will probaly buy Wii over PS3/360 when it hits $150 mark.

    Exactly. If they are offloading their entire warehouse stock of props, this auction officially marks the end of Star Trek for CBS/Paramount.

      On the other hand, I want NBC to buy back Star Trek franchise.

    Promote NASA via TV Commercials the highlighting archievements NASA has done. Promote US Space Camp to kids and adults. It is a great way to get more people interested into becoming an astronaut. Develop a business plan and start turning a serious multi-billion dollar profit. Use the billions of dollars from profits to continue research without fear of budget cuts from the Federal government.

    This Patent review is a result of Forbes news article about eBay's "Buy it Now" patent and the Supreme Court judgement.

    Software and Business Method patents need to go and be banned.

    Patent laws need a change. People shouldn't get away with patenting ideas like MercExchange just did. "buy it Now" is an idea. It is not technology. Amazon.com's 1-click does the same exact thing.

    Patent Law should be changed so only physical and exact things are patented. One should not be able to patent ideas. This includes software patents.

    I would love this to take place in America. Replace all those crappy web cameras we have now with video cameras. We need to put them on every street and alley in NYC. I will safely bet it will deter crime. If people knew that millions and possibly billions (with the internet) could be watching them, they just might not commit the crime. Live TV recording makes for a great court evidence too.

    90s gave birth to many successes and failures in our past but does any one know why many went belly up?

    Does anyone remember Hotline Software? It was supposed to create new way to share files with peers. Hotline Software ended up in a legal battle between the investors and it's creator.

    One of the many successes of the era was Phatgames.com and it's many spawns. It was started by Ben Cathers.

    And did we really learn from our mistakes?

    The US Government can snoop on me all they want. I got nothing to hide. Bring it on NSA, CIA, and/or FBI. Here's a preview of my recent actions and thoughts.

    1. I know US has 300 some nuclear weapons land and/or sea based. I know it's more but 300 is the declared amount.
    2. I know the chemical composition of C4.
    3. I know how to survive a nuclear blast.
    4. I thought about perfect time for terrorist to strike if they could. June 6, 2006. (6/6/06)
    5. I solved the world's global warming problems. Convert CO2 into Oxygen and build half a dozen enviromission power plants.
    6. I was taught that a little bit of C4 goes a long ways. Navy SWCC told me that C4 the size of a pen can blow elevator doors wide open.

    Of course, I am fiercely patriotic and would kill Bin Laden and anyone who threatens USA in a heart beat. And I watched United 93 movie. I'm not scared of the US Government and I got nothing to hide.

      Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles are Electric cars. This car has finite supply of power. Fuel Cell makes it's electric power from a electrochemical energy conversion device that is similar to a battery. So if you live in California, aim to lease a Hydrogen powered car. They have dozens (16 in all, more planned) of fuel stations in SF and LA.
