Repetition is not ALWAYS a bad thing.
All of the *Madden NFL* games feature a familiar type of gameplay... but the fact is that the creators of the games have gotten this down to a science... and have repeatedly(!) created a very immersive gameplay experience. Because every level and game are slightly different, and have their own perks, *Madden NFL 08* has not devolved into a mindless rehash, but has rather brought an opportunity to purchase a title that has a good chance of being as enjoyable as the last, with a non-existent learning curve.
Are they being original with every iteration? Certainly not. But they've provided enough of a variety of *players, stadiums, and weather*, that *Madden NFL 08* is still enjoyable, years after the first one revolutionized the *sports* arena.
Show me the national implementation of capitalism that hasn't involved the deaths of millions.
The capitalist philosophy is inherently flawed. This is demonstrated by the mass murder that accompanies every attempt to implement it.
The reasons that were at the forefront of the mind of those who decided to *invade iraq* were reprehensible. Showing the power of the US to the *islamic nations* and American willingness to *retaliate* were not good or moral reasons for the *iraq invasion*. That doesn't change the fact that the justification for *invading iraq* holds water. Just because many of the leaders of the day viewed the *iraq invasion* as a tool for *consolidating political power* doesn't mean that the other reasons they had in mind were not justification enough.
Everyone who criticizes the decision to *invade iraq* likes to forget that *Bush* and his advisors were working with incomplete information...
Dude, linux can be set up to use as many keyboards/ mice / screens as you have. And you can get a usb/ game controller adapters for all your favorite console controllers.
The only way to get six players on one pc playing Quake Wars each with their own keyboard / mouse / screen is with linux.
Adobe IS porting its products to linux. Flash Player, Flex Builder, Adobe Reader, Adobe Integrated Runtime, etc. It won't be long before CS is just a collection ov Eclipse plugins.
"...first of all most of our software products that we make available at the enterprise level will work on top of Linux. We see a lot of people who were traditionally on Unix workstations doing video type of work, moving to Linux. We see a lot of people who have vertical applications, manufacturing, customer service, move, and then we're seeing some government agencies around the world move... That's a definite plan. It looks like adoption of Linux seems to be happening..."

That is why you set your mmo in the old republic era, where there are 1000s ov jedis running around. Allow sith characters, with lots ov pvp, and make it hardcore so that characters can die.
60 does not compete with the ps3. It competes with the ps2.
Is it really interesting that the 360 is just now in the last 3 months surpassing the ps2? Not nearly as interesting as the fact that the 360 went a full year getting soundly beaten by a 5 year old system.
Ov course, the xbox3 will be out before the 10 million ps2 owners decide to upgrade to a ps3. I guess MS can claim a moral victory.
How is the ps3 a flop? It has sold 1/2 as many units as the 360, but has only been out for 1/2 as long. Given that the ps3 has a longer product life, it is almost certain that the ps3 will end up beating the 360.
The xbox360 has only started outselling the PlayStation 2 in the last 3 months.
What I don't understand is why no one has made a 'compile software wizard'.
It could take a source package and untar it, and run./configure && make && make install, and show a cylon / progress bar while it does those things in teh background.
You could even set it up so that it downloads the source from sourceforge - keep a dependency list too. Make it look just like a package manager. Give them buttons and GUIs and they wont even notice they are compiling source code.
That, and there are the linux nerds like me who will purchase one copy for every computer in the house, for when i host lan parties.
Next month I will be spending about 500$ on linux games - and that is just quake wars and UT3.
Dragonfly Insectothopter: Developed by CIA's Office of Research and Development in the 1970s, this micro UAV was the first flight of an insect-sized vehicle (insectothopter). It was intended to prove the concept of such miniaturized platforms for intelligence collection. Insectothopter had a miniature engine to move the wings up and down. A small amount of gas was used to drive the engine, and the excess was vented out the rear for extra thrust. The flight tests were impressive. However, control in any kind of crosswind proved too difficult.

KDE is funded by trolltech, the makers ov qt. There is no difference.

And with adobe redesigning all it's applications to be eclipse plugins, it is no wonder they are adopting "perspectives".
I still have my launch playstation in working condition.
"If you say gimp is as good as photoshop then your and idiot and need to just shut up."
And you think I am an idiot.
No. The PS3 has has sales that are on par with the 360's at this point in its life cycle.
Yes. My first PC was a Tandy 1000.

You are wrong. I play games and use Adobe software all the time, and I run linux.

the cia has already stated that it has robot dragonflies. And it has had them since the 70s.

you could try to purchase a low UID on ebay.

What software an OS can run is its sole strength.
oh. This isn't a poll.
you could just wait for an xbox360 emulator to come out, and then run it on linux. Should be sometime in Q1 2025.
